2016 ILX: Aftermarket Subwoofer Install
Hey guys,
I'm having trouble finding info because the '16 ILX model is so new, I'm assuming? Figure this is worth a shot: I've done all my own audio installs on previous vehicles in the past, but as I am an Acura novice, I'm not sure about panel/dash removal and I don't want to brake any clips or anything in an attempt to get behind the lower infotainment screen. I know the audio harnessing is likely linked to the lower info screen and I'm curious if the plastic panel around the lower unit pops off separately from the rest of the dash or if the whole dash has to come out to access these wires fully - to modify wiring, add a processor, amp, etc. Also unsure if there is an RCA sub out in the stock config or if it's proprietary or what. Anyone have any experience with this? I'm aware I may need an interface to add onto the stock audio config without interrupting the integrated HVAC functions, etc. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Welcome to the forums.
I deleted your other four posts, which were the same as this one, since you started a new thread. We would rather you only ask your question once which should be sufficient and would also avoid irritating the other members who don't like to see many repetitions of the same question.

Thanks and apologies for the redundancy. I posted those before I realized I could start a new thread. New to these forums and am desperate for an answer. The dealership "doesn't know"

best way to go about it is to look at the curves of the radio and the dash get a plastic pry tool try to fit it in different corners and ends
if you did it before you shouldnt have a problem all cars are the same
