Hi! Completely new here... bought my TL last year and have been meaning to figure out some kind of solution to using my iPod/iPhone for music in my car. I saw an really old post where none of the links to suggested products were working on here from google and figured I'd register and start a new thread because there might be newer products available.

I do not have Navi so compatibility there doesn't concern me... I do have XM but never use it so I will not care if I lose that functionality. I would like the text to appear on the screen and the steering controls to work. I saw people naming off products that do this but cant do that and I lost my mind.

If anyone knows of something that I could purchase and have installed (or if its easy enough I could do it myself) so I can use my iPod?

I hate to steal the thread, but I am also actually looking for an up to date info regarding ipod/iphone adapters (especially the one that would work with lighting connector - iPhone 5).
I am not looking for a lot of functionality, but basic mp3 playback via lighting cable and charging - things like song display, rewinding etc do not interest me much, as I usually like to listen to podcasts or just stream, but if they happen to work, that is a bonus.
