2004 TL and Nokia 6820
2004 TL and Nokia 6820
My TL does not recognize the Nokia 6820. I would appreciate any help, not sure if the phone is compatible. I had no problem pairing the Sony Ericsson t610.
If someone has successfully pair the TL with the 6820, is there any trick? What is firmware release of the 6820?

I don't have 6820, but do you follow this to pair your phone? I ever heard one guy successfully pairing it to HFL.
1. Power on the phone and ensure Bluetooth® is ON.
Choose MENU.
Choose SETTINGS and press SELECT.
Scroll to CONNECTIVITY and press SELECT.
Scroll to BLUETOOTH and press SELECT.
If Bluetooth is OFF, press SELECT.
Choose ON and press SELECT.
2. Press and release the Talk button on the steering wheel and wait for the “beep” before you speak. Repeat this step before all spoken commands.
3. Say “phone setup.”
4. Say “pair.”
5. Say any 4-digit PIN code for pairing. Remember it as you will need to enter it into your phone later. HandsFreeLink will now instruct you to begin the pairing process in the phone.
*If you are in the main screen of the phone go to step #6, if you are in the Bluetooth screen go to step #10.
6. On the 6820, choose MENU.
7. Choose SETTINGS and press SELECT.
8. Scroll to CONNECTIVITY and press SELECT.
9. Scroll to BLUETOOTH and press SELECT.
10. Scroll to SEARCH FOR AUDIO ENHANCEMENTS.
11. Press SELECT.
12. Phone will now search for a hands-free device.
13. HandsFreeLink should appear on device list. Choose HandsFreeLink and press SELECT.
14. Enter the 4-digit PIN from step 5. Press OK.
**If you are pairing to a second device with the same name (i.e., another Acura-TL), you will be prompted by “Name already exists.” Modify the name and press OK.
15. When prompted, say the desired phone name.
16. You should hear “pairing successful.”
*The following steps will stop the phone from requesting connection every time the user gets into the vehicle. The phone will then automatically connect.
17. Scroll to PAIRED DEVICES.
18. Press SELECT.
19. Choose HandsFreeLink and press OPTIONS.
20. Scroll to REQUEST CONN. AUTHORIZATION.
21. Press SELECT.
22. Choose NO and then SELECT.

My entire family has the Nokia 6820 and I've paired 2 of them to my TL successfully. (I didn't try the other 2). I simply followed the instructions per the manual and it works flawlessly.
The instructions that rets listed are VERY helpful, btw.
