2004 backup beeper quit working

My 2004 Acura MDX backup beeper quit working; I checked my fuses (although I'm not sure if they are for the beeper or the backup camera) and they are good. Any knowledge of what I can do before I just take it to a repair shop?

I assume you are talking about the backup sensors? Not that irritating beep we all hear when TRUCKS back up...lol. But just that interior warning beeper that lets you know you are getting close to something?

Is it part of the backup sensors? It is whatever the part is that allows me to hear the beep/beep/beep when I'm getting too close to something. That's what quit working and I'm trying to figure out how to fix it.

Ok....thats what I figured you are talking about.

Might I suggest:

Checking any fuses that may be related to that sensor system.

Checking to make sure the wiring is correctly connected from the sensors. (ie...anything happen...rear end collision, brake work, anything you can tie to said failure where you can backtrack it)

Checking the air in the tires (ok....thats an inside joke...ignore)

If it was working and now isnt, this leads me to believe a fuse or something electrical. If there was some kind of work done to the car...there is an off chance they disconntected the unit either on purpose or inadvertantly and didnt reconnect it back up.

From reading your posts....I am assuming it just stopped working after it was working - with no known cause.

Given this I would think fuse.....or electrical hookups.

Sorry I cannot be of great help, but I never did do the backup sensor addition to my TL when I owned it. I know its a factory option....but hopefully somebody that has had this issue can help you on here.
