2001 TL aux in location

I thought a simple search would produce an answer but I haven't been able to come up with anything. Can someone advise if a 2001 3.2 TL radio has an aux input somewhere on the radio chassis (behind the console since there is nothing on the front panel) and how difficult it is to access.
I want to use that for my Siruis Radio rather than a cassette adapter or something more expensive/elaborate.
I removed the radio a couple of years ago for another reason so I can do that, but I'm wondering if there is an aux input that can be accessed without removing the radio. More importantly, is there even a aux in jack to be found?

thanks.

I have the same question for my '02. From what I read it looks like that there are some adapters out there that will plug right into the cd changer plug then convert it to rca. Then you could either use an aux port or some adapters even have an iPod hook up that will also charge your device.

If anyone has some good info on which adapter to use please chime in and let us know. Thanks.

It is up tot he radio not all Acura Tl radios have this option , only the ones that have external CD changer controls will allow you to plug the interface i did this my self in a 2000 Tl it was the single CD radio and when i remove the radio there was a round 8 pin CD changer plug,
so i plug a pie hon-aux and it work great by pressing the CD button twice to my surprise i got two more customer to add auxiliary input this year i pull both aura radios and there was no free plug behind the radio only a metal plate , one of this radios was a 6 disc
pull the radio first before you purchase the adapter go to Google
and search Acura auxiliary input

aux devices plug into the cd changer port, and trick the radio into thinking ur ipod is the changer in the trunk. All Tl's will be able to add an aux. isimple products are the best in my opinion. The 2nd gen TL with navi wont work, the box says it fits all tl's, but on the inside install chart it calls out that it will not work with navi units.

this may not be the exact model u need, but they are all $179-$200 (including install) for either model. they are not fm transmitters, and offer ipod/aux inputs. they will charge ur ipod too, and maintain all steering wheel buttons with limited functionality controlling the ipod.

have you personally used the isimple product? because I'm very interested if this does indeed actually work where I can keep my volume functions on the steering wheel.
