1999 Acura TL with Navi with CD changer and Blitzsafe Ipod Adaptor

Hi everyone,

I have a stock 1999 acura tl and was wondering if getting blitzsafe adaptor for my factory stereo would be a good route to go in improving the sound in my car. Also, is it really that easy to install like everyone says it is. Does anyone have DIY manual? Keep in mind that my 99 TL has a navi and CD changer in the back, will this be a problem? Thanks for your opinions

Ok I just did additional research on this. Unfortunately, because I have a trunk mounted cd-changer, I would have to disconnect it in order to use the blitzsafe? Can anyone confirm that this is true?

Smile It'll Work

The Blitzsafe will work with the 6-disc changer just fine. People here have been doin' it since '04....

Navi and CD player

I have a 2000 TL. Your post regarding the Navi/CD....Is the Nav door also a CD changer??? If so that would be good to know since my CD player in the built in dash works infrequently. My TL has an incredible sound system and I would love to take advantage of it.

Yes, the blitzsafe adaptor does work with any TL. When using the iphone or ipod for it, turn off the equalizer on the iphone/ipod.

NO! The blitzsafe will not work with the external cd changer in the trunk. The adapter plugs into the socket where the cd changer plugs into. you will have to have one or the other

chowchow,

Folks maybe getting confused when you say your unit has a six cd changer. The way I understand it is your original 99 TL unit had a single cd player in the dash with a six changer in the trunk. Was this changer an option or aftermarket unit?
