12v power source pass fusebox 03 cl??

Well I should receive the xm commander and blitzsafe connector any day now. Im planning on running the display into the sunglass holder so it looks good. Question for you all.... I want to run the 12v power source out of the passenger fusebox instead of running it all the way across the dash to the main fusebox. What is a good fuse to tap in to that wont stay on when the car is off? Also, anyone found a strong ground source in that area? Im going to take pics and post for you guys when Im done.

Well I got my XM commander all hooked up. I put the commander in the sunglasses holder, and trimmed it down with my dremel tool. I also put the antenna on the passenger side dash but may move it to the sunroof lid if the reception is crap in most areas. I hooked up the power to the sunroof motor fuse (30a) and its only on with the ignition on. Grounded to the 10mm ground bolt right near the pass. fusebox. I also ran the blitzsafe adapter straight to the mainframe box and averted the fm modulator. One issue is that at mid to high volumes there is a slight whine. I dont know if its a faulty blitzsafe, or if the car just needs a ground loop invertor. I disconnected the ground from the 10mm bolt and ran a line straight from the neg line to the neg battery terminal and there was no difference. Also, it seems to whine only from the right side speakers. Any clue anyone???

It sounds like it's a problem with the XM commander itself. I've ran into that problem before with an XM satellite module. We swapped out the module for a new one and the noise went away.

I hooked up my mp3 player to the line out and its still doing the same thing. Im assuming its the blitzsafe device then since the mp3 player is run by batteries and the blitzsafe device is only connected to the radio. Im gonna get in touch with enfig who I bought it from and see what they can do. Hopefully its not going to be a pain with them.

That's the risk you take by not purchasing at a local shop.
