'05 TSX adding one 12" sub in trunk...will something serious rattle???
Getting ready to drop my old system in my brand new 2005 TSX this weekend...unforutnately, i know that there are rattling issues with the TSX. Has anyone or did anyone experience rattling problems having putting in their subwoofer or subwoofer(s) ? and if so, where are they located.
i'm not ready to fork out $100+ on dynomating...but i noticed that dealer license plate frame is gonna become a nuisannce, as it does flex if under vibration...

yes the trunk springs will rattle with any subs. if you want to get rid of the rattle then search for the tsx trunks shocks. i have replaced my trunk springs with the shocks and no longer have any rattle. it only cost about $55 dollars for the parts and then takes about an hour or so to install if you know how to take your trunk apart.

High mount stop was the most annoying rattle for me, but also the whole rear deck rattles - both solved with vmax and vb5 (cascade). I didn't really have any issue with my license plate, but there is still a slight rattle on occasion from the seat belt housing attached to the rear deck (for the middle seat). Other rattles come from the tail light assemblies and there is some sort of pressure equalization flap on the driver's side of the trunk, above (and behind) the wheel. That is only noticeable (to me) from outside the car and I think it kinda sucks but haven't come up with a way to muffle it. FYI, I removed the 6x9s which may or may not play a role in the type and degree of rattles.

all shiet...so this "spring" is touching or very close to the metal parts inside the trunk? that truly sucks....

My torsion bars don't rattle. I dont have any serious rattles. Just the basics.
If you have big subs you should have rattles unless your systems is performing below par!
