I just picked up my 04 TSX (26K miles) yesterday from the best dealership around Philly. I didn't check the CD player before I got it home (just checked the FM).

When I tried to switch FM to CD, it doesn't work - nothing happens. I press load/eject and the CD player doesn't respond at all. (Acura Premium sound, not BOSE btw).

The FM is working fine and so I think the CD player somehow got disabled. I've heard this with G35's/eclipses/accords etc that the CD player gets locked if you change the battery and you need a code to reactive it or something.

My dealership is good (30 day bumper to bumper warranty) so they should take care of it - is there anything I could do myself??

It won't switch to the CD player unless there is a CD in it. So, just to confirm, press 'load' and try to put a CD in. If nothing happens, take it back to the dealer you bought it from, they owe you a fix.

There is only 1 stereo system for the TSX, and its the same for all years. The only difference is the head unit: navi or non-navi, but the underpinnings are the same. Thankfully nothing 'Bose' every made it anywhere near the TSX.
