04 TL in search of MP3 player
Could not find answer searching this section.
1.) Is there a ready way to add MP3 player to O4 TL?
2) Is current thinking leaning more towards integration of hand-held mobile MP3 vs. trunk mounted fixed player?

fm modulator or the old cassette thing. both ways SUCK ASS. if you have a ipod you can connect it to a rca/speaker wire converter and connect that into your speaker wires in the back of ur headunit. i would go with the handheld. makes more sense

I faced the same question with me 99 TL, I went with a handheld
Iriver H-120, connected to stock headunit via a Blitzsafe adaptor.
My player sits in the arm rest compartment btw the front seats...
out of view
Why this works for me:
- I travel overseas a lot so I get to take my MP3 player with me
- Easy to sync up with computer files
- The stock sound was good enough for me, I listen to a lot of concert boots with questionable sound quality to start with
- I wasn't enamored with the look of the kits for installing an after market HU
In my setup the mp3 player cannot be controlled from the steering wheel but the Iriver has a mini wired remote that is suitable and I don't have to fish for the main unit to make an adjustment. I have been very pleased with everything, btw the mp3 player, the blitzsafe cable and installation I spent less than $450.
