My metra single din kit has the same gap at the top of the frame. I would love to figure out a way to get rid of it, I just don't feel like taking it all apart again. Why acura do I have to pull 8 interior pieces to get to the cd player.

Looking good. And that's the exact placement I was talking about for the tweeters.
And Jedc, I only have to move 2 pieces to get my hu's out. Or, more recently, I just have to pull on the deck, and it's out...

i found that when i pushed up on the tray (where the tray goes above the HU).. it straightens out. next time i get back there i'm going to apply 3m double adhesive to the end of that tray compartment and it should hold it to the metra kit on the front.
