I've checked out the FAQ and it will help, but I still have a few questions that I couldn't find.

My plan is to hook up just an Alpine CDA-9856 HU with XM radio along with my ipod. Everything else will be factory.

1. What in dash install kit do I need? And how well does it fit?

2. I want to be able to control everything as if it were factory. like steering wheel controls, onstar voice, and Nav voice.

3. So basically I am wondering if they make the wiring harnesses/adapters to go from an Alpine HU to factory everything else - and not lose any of the current functions. Also, where can I find this.

1) A normal Metra dash kit is the only one available that I know of..

2) Do a search on steering control for the first part. You need a PAX-??, I believe StreetEffectz or elduderino posted how to keep the Navi voice, but I do not know if that keeps on star voice.
