i was looking into installing an aftermarket head unit into my Cl. who makes the install kits and what wiring harness adaptor do i use? i do not want to cut the factory wiring harness. i found a scosche single din install kit. are there any better kits?

 

metra makes a dash kit as well.

 

Also, use the wiring harness from a 98+ accord

i bought my aftermarket headunit from crutchfield.com. They sent me metra kit and wiring hardness with the price of aftermarket. That was very nice of them I thought.

 

i bought both the metra wiring harness and dash kit on ebay for $20 shipped (together). Is there anything else i should know before i install my new head unit. its a Clarion VRX755VD (with 7" touchscreen and integrated CeNet). Also is there a factory amp? i have only had the car a few weeks and havent had a chance to really look it over and go through it good. Also i bought a TV tuner to go with it. Where is the best place to mount the UHF/VHF antenna? also is sirius sattelite radio worth the money? i hear it sounds like AM. the clarion unit is ready. all it needs is the decoder and antenna. which you plug straight into the unit's CeNet plug. Will it sound better than AM since i will not be using a FM modulator? any helpful advice will be appreciated. thanks

 

ok i installed the unit and im not getting any sound when i play a cd or a dvd. the sound does work when i turn the radio on though.. can anyone help?
