03 Acura TL Audio question....

Good day to all.....I just bought an 03 3.2 TL type S and love it....

It has a Bose system

I am going to install a system in it. 4 channel amp and a mono amp. My question is...What powers the 4 door speakers? The amp behind the back seat or the factory radio? I want to use the factory speaker wires going to those 4 speakers but I am not sure where they all meet...I have the manual on how to remove the stock HU. Thanks for your time!

The amp behind the seat powers only the sub only. It's the stock Bose deck (4 channels) that powers the 4 door speakers.

Check out the audio & video forum. There is a ton of info in there on car audio

Let me clarifiy that: there are 4 sets of speaker wires coming out of the Bose radio - one set for each speaker.

I have the wire harness coming in! I will unplug the bose radio then plug the harness to the factory male harness. I will run the speaker wires from the 4 channel amp to the wire harness then that will go to the factory speakers.

However, we can tell you that every time we listen to it, it really amazes us. This Harman Kardon Logic 7 system sports 13 speakers (including two subwoofers), surround sound simulation, Digital Sound Processing (DSP) and an in-dash six-disc changer. Not to be overlooked, it also pushes out 420 watts of pure Harman Kardon power.
Dont know why you brought that here but bmws logic 7 is crap.

haha I'm going to have to second that. A friend of mine has a 335i coupe with the Logic 7 system, and it sounds like shit. But then again, I'm saying that from an audiophile point of view.

I donno I kinda love the TL's stock system:S My friend's BMW E39 530i with DSP is about twice as loud as the Bose system, it doesn't have that low end bass to it like we do. My other freind also has a 2004 3G TL and his stock system i find to be the worst system EVER!! Is there even a sub in the 3G cause it sounds like a civic with 4 crappy speakers. I bashed him so much he listened to my 2G TL's bass and thought I had subs in the car. He was shocked when I told him a only have a stock one. He then added a set of subs and his whole interior rattles while my 2G with 1800W of MTX Sledgehammer pump so smoothly without anything rattling inside.... no dynamite needed!!

I have a 750 with logic 7. Dont get me wrong its nice, better then our bose id say but for a car at that price with a package at their price id expect more. Subs sound good inside but sound like shit outside, like pots banging. Speakers are weak. They go out too fast. Its too overpriced.

Fixed it.

Bose is arguably the best "good" system on the market
