'02 TL Alpine 7897 XM Install. About To Pull My Hair Out!!
before you guys get on me i did do a search. "xm" is not an accepted term by the engine and "satellite" returned no matches. i also searched by model number for what i have. no dice.
i just go the XMDALP100 smart adapter and XMD1000 direct tuner for my alpine 7897. i have everything connected per the instructions and XM does not show up on my radio at all when i scroll through the bands in the radio mode. i have the AI/NET switch in the correct position and i have it all hooked up to the changer cable in my trunk (no changer currently installed. i removed it last year).
i have no clue what to do anymore. anyone?

Some Alpine HUs were not compantible with the Terk tune until after a certain S/N... I'd call Alpine tomorrow and find out. Lie and say you work for Tweeter or something.
