Honda has made v5 engines before. Their MotoGP bike had one for a while. It was a very good design choice because the bank with 2 cylinders was between the frame rails allowing the designers to make the bike exceptionally narrow. As far as I know, Honda was the only company who did this. Eventually they went back to an I4 because they can make the engine a good bit lighter. If working on V4 bikes is any indication, I'm sure the mechanics were very happy about the change.

I love threads like this because among all the chatter you always get at least 1 or 2 scientists such as the one above who come in and clarify everything to a scintillating detail and I always learn so much from those posts.

He took it like a man, we've all made mistakes and I can't hold it against him. It is funny and I did laugh, but he's not going to be brought down to Water-S level based on this single event.
