it took me 30 hours this week to sand the entire thing down, there is a sweet ass mirror also and i had to sand the wood around that also.

Yes! The top of mine is the only spot where there is veneer, but its 1/8th thick! I found an old General's address stamp in drawer, did some research, and found out he was a General in the 1930's. This desk has been around!
