Thread Ban
Have an issue with post whores trying to raise their post counts in off topic area thread OR an issue where two people dont agree but both are good contributing members but both continue to argue their point? Rather than ban somebody from the entire board...which inevitably ends up being polarizing (remember, we have two decent contributing members here) use "thread ban" to exclude a member or members from the conversation/thread only.
Its pretty easy to install, takes about ten minutes. You are still running a version of Vbulletin that supports this feature! They havent rewritten it yet to work with 4.x series last I checked unfortunately.
Just a suggestion!

If in the case you have 2 members who are going on and on and on about something and if it is on topic to a particular thread, I don't see what is the problem if they wish to continue to express their view.
If however, that said member is being purposely abrasive and making it personal, that's where a moderator should step in and ask for that to cease...if it continues, a ban is warranted (i.e. permanent, temporary).
I do not agree with banning an individual for posting something they believe in even if others don't agree. We don't go for THAT type of censorship.
^^ what he said. I agree wholeheartedly.
We have an incredible team of mods here, an add-on like this, simply is not necessary IMO.
thanks for the suggestion though Michael, we do appreciate that you're trying to make the site better for everyone!

No biggie....just an idea.
Its all good
I figured it would be more useful in the off topic section than anywhere honestly....just to prevent post whoring to a great degree....more than to back down an arguement.
Difference in local and national forums though too. Locals will kill each other with just a drive across town and personally know how/where to find one another....nationals will just trash talk...lol. I didnt think about that one.

i thought this was going to be something different when i read the title....
i would really like to be able to filter out threads that i know i will never be interested in from my view of the different sub-forums.
example:
no matter how many time this thread gets updated, i could care less:
https://acurazine.com/forums/1g-tsx-performance-parts-modifications-126/headers-suspension-need-opinions-792509/
