Do you see, what you refer to as the PB equalizer, on on either of the parts diagrams below?
If so, which number is it?

I believe it's #3. I'm replacing #7.

It appears you will have to replace #3 parking brake wire (A) as an assembly to get the 'end piece' (equalizer) lower purple arrow.
The two round ends (upper purple arrow) of #5 & 7 PB wires would fasten into the 'equalizer' on the distal end of #3 PB wire.
Refer to the link for the part number & price. I plugged the part # into rockauto.com and found no aftermarket equivalent.

So where is that distal end? From under the car, the parking brake cable enters the car cabin . So is that end under the carpet in the back seat or under the middle console in the front?

Do you know?

It appears to be a pretty invasive procedure.
All I can find, as far as instruction, is what you see below.
Therefore, from my past experience of 'swapping' in an Acura CL-S six speed center console manual transmission parking brake lever set-up into my automatic CL-S interior, I would venture to guess that the 'equalizer' distal end of #3 would be located under the carpet / center console area just before where you say the PB cables enter the cabin from under the car. Requiring, at least some level or complete center console disassembly to get at all related connections.

Here are a few pictures of what I encountered:

After:

Parking Brake Cable Replacement
Exploded View

NOTE:
-The parking brake cable must not be bent or distorted. This will lead to stiff operation and premature cable failure.
-Refer to the Exploded View as needed during this procedure.
1.Loosen the parking brake cable adjusting nut.
2.Remove the parking brake shoes, and disconnect the parking brake cable from the parking brake lever
3.Remove the parking brake cable mounting bolts from the backing plate (A).
4.Pull the parking brake cable (B) and remove it from the backing plate.
5.Reinstall the parking brake cable in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
-Be careful not to bend or distort the cable.
-Connect the parking brake cable to the brake lever, and install the brake shoes and disc/drums.
Do the parking brake adjustment. Apply the parking brake firmly 10 times then adjust it again.

Good Luck
