Favicon.ico

Just noticed Azine does not have a homepage Favicon.ico file.

In Firefox, no favicon.ico means no icon in the bookmark list.

The URL icon populates as does the icon in the Azine Tab, but w/o a "favicon.ico" no icon will appear in the bookmark list. Any way to make a copy of the blue and white as a "Favicon.ico" on the homepage?

On my Firefox4 installations on all of my macs, the favicon shows up and if you navigate to www.acurazine.com/favicon.ico you'll see that a file does exist. Maybe something else is going on here.

Just a side note, there was a discussion about updating the icon...

Funny, in FF when I view page components>Media, no Favicon.ico appears as loading.

Let me check my ABP...

NO difference when ABP disabled.

That is what I saw as well. That was just to prove that the file does in fact exist, the reason why it looked like that is becuase the browser didn't know how to render it for display purpose in the page viewing area. But on my computer it still shows in the location bar.

Maybe there is something in FF5/6 that changed that I'm unaware of.

Yeah, not sure either. It does not appear as a element of the parent page, either.

Maybe IB , with it's vast resources and 'top men' can look into it...

I see the original blue favicon in my Firefox also.

However, when I open Acurazine in IE (which I NEVER use), there's no favicon.

That means the only reason why we're STILL seeing the favicon is because Firefox likes to keep a favicon and not update lol

What version of FF? I see nothing in 6.0.2 in the favorites toolbar or in favorites.

My FF just updated and now no URL icon in the address bar for AZine...

Yeah dude Firefox has a weird way of handling Favicons.

I have a site bookmarked, and I'm still seeing their old favicon even though I KNOW they have a newer favicon; Firefox just refuses to display it.

Strange indeed.

Cant say I solved it but I got it to work...

Made a standard bookmark in the normal bookmark location (this had no prob pulling favicon.ico down) and then dragged that to the Bookmarks Toolbar. Not sure why dragging the URL icon to the toolbar did not retrieve the actual graphic, but problem solved...
