Couple of things i'd personally like to be able to do.

Be able to PM a complete group of people because when I set up meets, I can only send 3 pms at a time.

I have created Houston Acurazine Crew social group, it would be nice if i can pm everybody from the group.

I also send everybody a text, but I do not have half the member's numbers.

**********************

More moderator involvement in my region.

New members create threads wanting to setup meets in Texas Region, that are already discussed in our city threads. Not only that, but random threads for simple questions that can also be asked in the Houston/Dallas/Austin/etc threads. I don't like seeing my regional forum being full of that.

Also sometimes, mistakes are made in new meet threads that we create, i hate to have to bug moderators to fix the wrongs, sometimes it doesnt get fixed right.

for example this thread,
https://acurazine.com/forums/texas-319/houston-tx-bubbas-burger-accesszero-meet-sat-5pm-09-25-10-a-790418/
The date is 25th, not 23rd.

It be nice if we can edit out post/thread.
I always have to ask trancemission or Ron to edit them.

hrmm...

Maybe we should look at creating some kind of 'regional leaders' usergroup....they can be like moderators, but restricted to helping out in our regional forums...

thoughts?

This would help lots for us that are planning meets, especially in Socal since we still try to do weekly meets.

I think it's a great idea, as long as the regional lead for each region is active in the meets for that region, and is respected by members there. "Keep it in the family", as it were.

Maybe have people from each region nominate a member they like/respect, and then the admins can qualify the person they see most fit?

No, it actually had some legs, and then we got distracted.

I want to get this going, and it sounds like you're volunteering to become a Regional Coordinator.

Let me rekindle the mod discussion, and get things in motion.

thanks for teh reminder
