I will start working on the Hotels in Medford for 2 nights now that it appears that we will hang there. I'm sure they will ask how many rooms we need to hold, what do you guys think ? 20-25 ? We need to start reminding the undecided that they need to get on board. Matt, maybe we need to do a sticky in the regular forum to alert anyone who doesn't check out Club Events, or maybe some folks who may want to join us from other parts of the country. Can you set that up ?

This is about the same number of rooms you put on hold last year, correct? I think that was plenty, even if more people show up. We didn't use too many of the rooms last year.

 

Yeah, i think i held 20-25. A week or so before i had to confirm the exact amount and then those were guaranteed. I'll work on this in the next week or so and then follow up with rates and other info.

 

I'll take a single also...with a heart-shaped king bed and hot tub with self-made stinky bubbles.

Well guys, i just drove thru Medford on my way to the Coast with the family and i saw a sign for a hotel called the Rogue Regency. The billboard said it has a sports bar on the premises, so i'll check the rates on it. I passed where we stayed last year and i'll check those out as well. By the way, there's an entertainment complex in Grants Pass that even had a Paintball facility, that's another thing to check since we have to go there to do the Jet Boats.

And the devil appears. I just got in to Cali from Virginia. Fawking hot here.. gonna be 106 today (I'm in the desert south of Fresno).

So the meet is in Medford on the 12th of Sept? I'll know better as we get closer, but I'm scheduled for a school in Virginia from 25 Aug til 12 Sept. May cut loose early and be able to catch a flight back to meet for the weekend stuff.

Well, i did some work on the Hotel situation today and here's what i came up with. We can stay in the same hotel as last year or a couple similar like Motel 6 or even the Travelodge, they're all at the same exit and will run about $50 a night for a single. One other i came up with and like is the Windmill Inn. It's rated 3 stars so it's nicer than the others mentioned and has alot of nicer features. It's usually around $80 a night and i'm working with the manager to get it down to $60. If she goes for it, i think we should stay there. Any thoughts ?? Remember, we will have the rate for doubles if you want to room with someone and split the cost.

 

I'm in for whatever Please we decide to stay at.

Thanks Rolie. If everybody gets a roomie, it will make it alot cheaper for all. By the way, this hotel i'm looking at has a pretty full breakfast, so even though the rooms are more, we'll save on that each morning.
