the wilwoods are a reasonable price

I did a couple 4 track days on the bike two years ago... track days are a too much fun, too much.

btw, I'm pretty sure price also includes standby time for the paramedics...

I've got the OE BBK. I need a rotor and brake fluid upgrade. Maybe pads too.

I just PM a vendor on some slotted rotors, pads, Motul fluid.

I need to call and get some details. I'll let you know.

The way I read it, is that 3/8 would have a motorcycle group, along with the car group(s).

Turn One says, "* Cars & 1 Motorcycle Run Group". But I'll double check and let you know.

At Road Atlanta and Little Talladega they had different days for the safety. But if they allocated times for the different vehicles, I don't see what the issue would be

Motorcycles will definetly run separate.

Probably 3 or 4 groups:

- Motorcycle
- Super Solo/Test & Tune
- Solo
- Noobie/DE

Well, no offense to any one, but as far as I'm concerned: One. I am going - this is my chance. I've ordered brakes and fluid just for the 8th.

I've got to get my deposit in before the end of the week to insure an instructor and to get the early registration discount.

Jon is thinking about coming down with his kid to spectate. I assume you are in. Other than that -

I'll make a "who's in" post.

Nic - PM me your cell number. I'll call you tomorrow after I talk to Turn One. Do you have any questions you want me to ask?

Turn One Track Day Info

Overview

..... The venue includes Drivers' Ed groups for novices (street or race cars), as well as Solo and Test-n-Tune groups.

Novice drivers in the Driver's Ed group will be paired with instructors to learn the principles of HPDE racing and to explain the intricacies of Carolina Motorsports Park's 2.3-mile, 14-turn road course. Drivers in this group do not need previous track experience. You can participate in any street legal car (even your mini-van) or race car. Passing is allowed in this group, but only on the straights.

The solo group consists of drivers with track experience. Street vehicles are allowed in this class also. Passing is allowed on the designated straights.

  • Any street legal car is welcome (also race cars with a passenger seat and belts). Bring your Porsche, BMW, Mini-Van, Neon, whatever vehicle and have a great time.
  • Controlled passing is allowed. Passing will be allowed on the designated straights with "point bys".

That'd be great. Come on up.

Looks like it's only about an hour to the Track from Columbia.

If you need to contact the event manager, send an email to sylvia@carolinamotorsportspark.com

Oooo, Nic, sorry.

DE events are not timed and no "racing" allowed. Won't be able to tell who wins or loses.
