Registering tomorrow

I'll be registering tomorrow. I'll be sure to choose acurazine if it is a choice as far as car clubs go.

Just registered...it'll be worth it just to have a cooler on hand! I am actually getting exited now.

So there will be at least one stock TL there!

Damn! I still haven't gotten mine yet and I had registered on the 25th, too. I seriously hope I didn't throw it out with the junk mails. And have you stayed in College Park before? It doesn't look like a safe area if memory serves me correctly.

Anywhere closer to the place is better than College Park. There are some hotels along I-75 in Morrow. See if they're not booked yet. That would be a lot closer for you to meet up with us for the pre-meet to drive down to NOPI if we decide on a central location for everyone. If not, there's Jonesboro, Lovejoy (you'd be really close, but I don't know if hotels are booked), and then Hampton itself.

I think this is a good spot as well to meet up- is it cool with you guys? What time should we meet up (Gates open at 10 a.m.)

I had forgotten about those two areas. I guess if you're staying in McDonough, you won't be doing the cruise down to NOPI with us.

Hey Zac, how about 8AM since that'll give everyone enough time to be there before gates open. I believe we had left around 9:30AM last year and we were able to get spots. For those who had entered last year, how were you able to park inside before the gate had opened?

8 AM meet up at the value city and then 8:45 rollout? That should put us at the gates around 9:30 with the traffic?

Also- with our last few meets we have had trouble in the supplies department- we should delegate that all out soon so we can have mid day cookouts/beer/water/etc.

I'm getting really excited- glad that we are repping this year as opposed to last where i had my car parked off to the side all lonely

That sounds like a plan. I have a cooler from our last meet. If we're going to be bringing food, we can't forget about the utensils.

Let's do it

Hey Ty and anyone else that plans on meeting up and driving to the show, i need to know where we're going to meet at. I am terrible with directions, so let me know. I'll be driving up the night before and staying at my mom's house in Decatur, so i won't be too far away.
My wife is gonna roll and i registered already so hopefully i'll get my credentials some time next week. Can we bring small grills out to the raceway? I wasn't sure if we could or not, so let me know. I got a screened tent that we can chill in. It's not huge, but it does have sreening around it. I can also bring a real small cheap charcoal grill, but we'll probably need another one if we're able to grill out there. I can also bring charcoal as well. If we can't do all that we can atleast bring drinks, chips, and other crap. Let me know the policy on that kinda stuff out there.

Also, a good time and place to meet up might be with the Honda Tech guys at some place called the Varsity which is closer to downtown. I'm too lazy right now to find the link but if you go to the site you should find info about it.

McDonough is not a bad place at all, we have a plant there and there are lots of beautiful women in the area...

Be Careful though. McDonough is a DRY county or city.. ZERO tolerance for drinking so if you stay there do not even have one beer and get in the car or you will be S O L

There is a really awesome place for wings that is a bar as well that has kareoke and pool tables.. I will let you know the name of it tomorrow i can't remember right now

I don't have to worry about alcohol-getting hepatitis at 18 and damaging my liver have rendered me allergic to alcohol. So I am always a designated driver .

ACCURATEin- glad you're going to be there, and I'm also glad I don't have to compete against you! My car is stock compared to your work of art. I can't wait to meet all of you AZ guys. Dan- is anything being done on Friday? I'll be arriving on Thursday night. Any place good to wash/detail my car?

That would not be a problem! I thank you! PM me your address, and maybe I'll bring dinner for us all ( NO SURF and TURF ). My dad is coming with me, a 35 year bonding experience.

i thought i read somewhere that the gates to the spectators opens at 10, but the gates to the cars in the show opened at 7. i could be wrong tho.

also, anyone know if there is an after-party and where it is located?

If contestants gate open at 7, then we'll probably have to get there pretty early unless the time of 8AM pre-meet and 8:30AM rollout is good for everyone. If there's going to be over 50 cars at the Varsity pre-meet, I'm not to sure how we'll all fit since the parking lot at the Varsity is pretty small.

If we're going to grill, let's start up with a list of items to bring. And Zac, Henryk and I are thinking about rolling down together for the pre-meet. How far up on 400 are you?

I live in Decatur, we should plan to roll out together...also, we need to get there pretty early because of how many cars have to get into the gate (usually around 5000).

And here's the list updated to show me as registered:
1. Types09 (entering)
2. SSMTL01 (entering)
3. godizus (entering)
4. ramojr (haven't decided yet)
5. dragonlord (entering)
6. dan.....k (entering)
7. ACCURATEin (entering)
8. mn2trance (entering)
