There are grills, children's playground, beach, etc. So there are plenty of things you can do. I will be purchasing/bringing most of the cooked foods, we just need you to bring drinks, condiments, etc. I'm also inviting members of our "sister" site, SFPOA.NET which is the other forum I manage.

Description of Park:
Frank Rendon Park
The park is named for the late Frank Rendon, a long-time community leader. In December 2003, the park celebrated the completion of a three-acre addition to the existing Frank Rendon Park.
Volusia County provided the land and paid most of the $850,000 in expansion project costs. The project was funded in part with grants from the ECHO program and the Daytona Beach Racing and Recreational Facilities District. The Frank Rendon Park project was the County of Volusia's first completed ECHO project. Daytona Beach Shores maintains the park.
Location2705 S. Atlantic Ave., Daytona Beach Shores
(about two miles north of Dunlawton Boulevard)

Amenities
Sheltered picnic areas, grills, children's playground with padded floor, disability-accessible restrooms, water fountain, outdoor showers, 141 off-street parking spaces, handicapped parking, wheelchair accessible wooden beach walkway, wooden observation deck, beach wheels.

nope free, it has a playground for little kids, a place to wash yourself off after going to the beach and has great area's to take a few pictures. We had our MEGA MINI meet there with 8 cars and it was fun. Not to be an ass to the OP, but I might be able to score us a clubhouse on LPGA blvd. In daytona beach with a pool, kitchen, room for about 30+cars, and about 3-4 miles of straight, level road with zero cops and as well, the automall is down the street.

OK, guys. There's an incentive: 3 mods might be there to suck up to. LOL
But, seriously folks..... AZ has been known to award prizes for such things as "Traveled Furthest" and "Best of Show". Sometimes we even bring the soft drinks.

This is first and foremost a meet for our little cousins with Accords. But, these days, there's little difference in the full-boat Accords and the base TL.

For those in the Jax area, we will be meeting at the first rest stop after the I-95/I-295 interchange to cruise down. Let's meet around 8am or so and leave about 8:30. That should give us plenty of time to be in Daytona by 10. Whoever is at the rest stop first, find an area where we can all park together. Normally on one end of the parking area. Let's show Florida and AZ how Jacksonville can represent! See ya there.

Hello AcuraZine! Pleased to hear you guys are going to show up! I'm the owner of FLAccords and I just wanted to say I can't wait to see how this meet is going to turn out. I will be in Daytona on Friday, August 22nd to make sure things are in order and will be at the park bright and early at 9:30PM (hopefully..). I will send a PM to Dave (he posted on FLAccords) and anyone else who needs it my phone number just in case. We may also have a few preludes show up as we all share a common ground with them as well. I noticed people asked if they should bring anything, all I ask is if you plan on having some of the food we plan on having there is you also bring something with you as well. I was unaware that we had a couple more people coming so anything you can bring for food or drinks would help. We have a thread on our forum regarding food and somewhat how much people are bringing, I will make sure to see if people can bring a little bit more to accompany everyone. Our local moderator from Daytona Beach is csmeance. He would be a good connection for organizational issues as well as the OP (Original Poster).

Sig 86 is the OP who brought this to our attention.

For those needing a hotel, check Kayak.com. The rates in Daytona in the summer, even right on the ocean, are really good. Like well under $ 100.

Same as here, FDAccord. I just want to let everyone know before hand we will be in the sun as the pavillions were taken early (There's a reptile show going on that weekend). It may be good to bring some beach chairs (we are right on the beach) and sun block. I currently have one quik shade tent that will cover one table. If anyone can get one for the other table it would be great. If anyone wants to see the park they can google map it and click terrain to see a top view of the park or google it to see images. I will send a PM to csmeance and try to make sure everything goes okay. Thanks!

In all honesty bring food or drinks if you can. The number of people attending has shot up tremendously from expecting 30-40 people to 60+. Just make sure if you do bring something let me know I am really going to try to make sure that the people who have contributed get fed.

Will do, I will be checking out the area on Friday night when I get up there, but if you want to do it that sounds good. We had someone go by there and check it. We have three tents and an extra table being setup in the open area since t he pavillions were reserved.

Sorry for the double post, I can't edit my thread anymore..

I wanted to include that for the people who are coming to show up as soon as you can since this is a public parking area and it will fill up fast... otherwise you would have to park across the street.
