Meeting at the volusia mall will occur at 2:00 and we will curise to the meet as soon as 75% of the members show up or unitl 2:45.

TAMPA guys, i should not take you too long to come to daytona. Max should be 2 hours. If you wanta short route, you can take I-275 to I-4 and just take I-4 to daytona. If you want a route with much less traffic, but tolls, you can take I-275 to I-4 to SR 417 to SR 528 to SR407 to I-95. THis route has much less traffic and is about 30 miles more. I came to tampa last weekend and i got from daytona to tampa using the I-4 route in 2 hours, and got home using toll roads in about 2 hours as well. I averaged 70 MPH.

These last few days got me to thinking about.........rain. This is our driest month, but it seems that 2007 wants to have a freak month and call it April. Anyway, what contingency plan do we have if it does rain on our parade? Do we have a rain-out date or maybe someplace covered? Just tryin' to think ahead since it sounded like a war zone outside my house last night

I'm wondering if the parking lot will be big enough, considering we are going to the beach on a Saturday....If it is nice out..it will be packed!!

At this time, there is no real covered zone for us, but the plan is to see the weather, and if it does rain, we can push it back by 2-3 weeks so plans can be made.

YO! What is a good place to stay, we PTK681 and NOPIGuy are thinkin about coming down from ATL to check this out...What is a good central local to stay?

 

daytona beach is a little expensive this time a year, but if you head a couple miles south into daytona beach shores there are plenty of hotels for better prices

 

any objection to a few accords coming out? The UCF car club has a few nice accords in it that i could try to get to come if it would be ok with everyone

 

no problem. The more cars and the more ppl, the better.

 

spot on buddy, getting a hotel on the beach costs alot, esp by downtown daytona. But in south daytona, they start to get cheaper. Staying by the speedway you can get some good rates, here is a link of some places:

Enjoy daytona for a day or two, then go over to orlando if you want. Orlando is more of the big bro to daytona and is about 1 hr. away. Also remember there is disney there too, so you can stop by to say hi to goofy and the others
