Maybe we should just a list together for Floyd Bennett so we know every single person that is planning on coming. I know I will definitely be there, I live only about ten minutes from there. Guys, it's really easy to get there, it's a perfect compromise between the north Jersey/Staten Island and Long Island guys and there's a ton of room for us to have a meet, let's make it happen!

Mappoint - map of the area

I believe this is it...

I don't have my TL yet, still a month or so before I want to get it. So I probably won't be there...and I will just have to hope to see pictures posted of everyone's cars.

Floyd Bennett field is close to the hood. We'll be lucky if we make it out alive OR with our cars in one piece!

Very true, but we can't really accomodate everyone. Based on the fact that we have guys coming from Long Island we needed a good compromise between the North Jersey guys and the Long Island guys, and Brooklyn seems to be a good destination.

As for the guy that said Floyd Bennett Field is in the ''hood'', it is nowhere near there. It is actually five minutes from Kings Plaza Shopping Mall, which is not really the hood. FBF is closer to the Marine Park/Rockaway/Mill Basin area, all neighborhoods that are not bad at all. I live like 10 minutes from the meet so even if you guys wanted to get something to eat afterwards I might be able to think of somewhere, just let me know.

Great!!! i was begining to think nobody wanted to talk to me cuz i did'nt have a tl, . i will be driving my civic there . i live near the bay parkway (ext 5) exit of the belt. how exactly do you get INTO floyed bennet anyway?, i always pass by it but i never see any entrances, are we allowed to do a lil speeding in on the air strips?

I got a call from Springfield Acura today that they just got in a few Black TL's with Navi, i asked him about the interior colours they had, and was put on hold for like 15 mins. in the end they only had that weird brownish one and black, not that i don't like black, , but i wanted a quartz interior. so i ended up not getting anything. sigh.

BTW, what do you all think of Acura of Manhattan, they told me to name a price because their doing aggressive sales. anyone got theirs from them? service good?

Come on Phil, you are a Brooklynite and you don't know how to get into Floyd Bennett Field? Hell, it used to be a huge racing area until the cops basically started to know about it!

OK, take the Belt Parkway East to Exit 11S (if anyone is taking the Belt from Long Island or Queens, take it West, obviously). When you get off the exit, just go straight. You'll pass the old airfield on the left, a mini-golf course on the right, a marina on the right, and a few other things. Then you'll see a toll booth, that's for the Marine Parkway Bridge. At the last light before the toll booth, make a left. DO NOT GET ONTO THE BRIDGE! You'll go pass a booth and a bump, then you are in the field. It is a huge field and we should have tons of room to hang out.

Just to let you know about your speeding, everyone speeds in there even though you aren't supposed to. If you see some cops in there (there's some sort of precinct in the back over there) they'll bust your chops but it shouldn't be a problem.

I bought my car at Paragon Acura. Acura of Manhattan wanted to charge way too much money. I just walked out of there. Paragon worked with me and gave me a price that I wanted to pay. Much better dealership hands down
