NY/NJ Meet
Anyone interested in getting one last meet together before the New Year and while there's no snow on the ground? Saturday's work best for me.. Maybe December 18th? Then of course, we have to figure out where. I know that Target parking lot near the Roosevelt Field mall on Long Island has been a popular spot to meet.. but I'm open to queens and possibly Brooklyn.
Who's in? And who has suggestions for meeting spots?
Thanks
Anthony

I would not suggest anywhere near Roosevelt Field mall during that time (pre-holiday season), traffic will be a disaster. Other good meeting spots could be near nassau community college (the industrial park) or possibly a train station parking lot (lots of space and no one to bother us). just my .02

True - Holiday traffic near that mall especially on a weekend would be horrendous. A train station parking lot would be ideal. But first.. can we all confirm on a date? Can we all do December 18th, 2004?
Also - if we pick a train station parking lot - should we consider a stop on the north shore so it's convenient for anyone coming from NJ...right? Plus if people are coming from Staten Island or Bklyn, maybe we can do the Bayside, Queens LIRR parking lot?
Suggestions everyone?
Thanks!

December is going to be kinda cold to be standing outside, don't you think? I'd show up depending on the weather. My car has already been winterized - waxed, raised 1/2", 19's off and snowboard rack ready to go.

As for location.. I could do the Nassau Community college lot.. but I just want to be fair to everyone else..
Anyone else have suggestions where to meet??

Floyd Bennet Field or that Target Parking lot is a good idea. It's close to NNJ, accessible to Long Island and really close to Queens.
What does everyone think? C'mon - this shouldn't be too hard!

It's Exit 11S off the Belt Parkway, make the last left before the Marine Parkway Bridge toll... as opposed to all these other places that have the possibility of being too busy during the holiday season, Floyd Bennett Field has like 50 acres of land that could be used. I think it's not a bad idea but let's see what everyone else thinks...

the best place for a meet would be the Garden State Plaza Mall in Paramus, NJ on a Sunday. Bergen county blue laws forces the malls to be closed on sundays.
the entire parking lot will be free for the meet.
there is also a bunch of restaurants there which will be open.

The majority of the people are coming from bklyn, queens or long island.. so I think that Floyd Bennet Field would be good.
Everyone ok with Floyd Bennet Field in Brooklyn, on Dec. 18th, 2004?

Ok.. so we're CONFIRMED. Dec. 18th @ Floyd Bennet Field in Brooklyn.
If it doesn't happen this day, then we'll have to wait till spring time '05.

I hope alot of people show up. If anyone knows anyone on the CL forum - let them know too.. would be cool to get a big turn out before the end of the year.

Floyd bennett is a great spot for a meet but the turn out is usually bad? Most of the guys on a-cl will most likely would be down for the LIRR parking lot. There arent any definites posted over there yet so someone let us know when and where.

I don't understand why this is so hard to get together a meeting place.
I thought we agree'd on Floyd Bennet Field in Brooklyn... but others say a LIRR parking lot (I suggested maybe the Bayside, Queens LIRR parking lot from the beginning).. others are suggesting Nassau Community College parking lot.
Would someone like to take over? LOL.
I figured the easiest part would be to make a time.. so I'm figuring around 1pm? At least we have the date nailed down (12/18).. someone please help on where to have this meet.
