Agh! That sucks. Call in dead...
I just washed and detailed my baby and she is all pretty.
Too bad it's gonna rain on her!! It looks like rain on and off tomorrow, but may end by the afternoon. Do you guys think we should push it out to 1 o'clock???
We're going ahead, rain or shine, but we may head back to my house if it's pouring or something like that so that we can hang out under cover.
At this point, I'm still good with noon, but let me know what you all think...

Man of God.....
Well my are this.....
I live about 5 1/2 hrs away (at the posted speed) So the later the better! Also the weather I see today is probably your (ours) tomorrow. Its overcast by I have seen no rain. Also, to bad about the track. Did you know that for $50 you can drive on Road America's track? It looks like the drive is open for 1 hour. Don't know how it works though. Maybe they watch your speed. I just don't know. And I don't know how much of the hour you can really drive.
Man I would love to really run my TL........

If its at 1pm I won't be able to make it, family emergency, I will probably be able to stop by at noon for a little but then I have to fly. Damn I was really looking to pick on fsttyms1, and see how quick that 6 speed is

I think it would have been a good idea to move it to 1PM because the weather channel says that the rain will be done by around that time, but it sounds like we're on at noon. Which is fine with me.

Hi all,
It's 9:30am here and it's looking good weather wise. Slight chance for sprinkles, but I think we can handle it. We'll stick with noon and hang out for awhile at the park as long as the rain holds off to try to wait for some stragglers. If anyone is really late (Mr. Chad?), give me a call to see where we are since we may get hungry and move to my house for lunch.
Chance for rain is down to 10%, so let's hope it stays away. Yes, it's overcast, but no biggie.
Don't forget you can call me if you have questions or problems--See you guys around noon!!!

Hi all. Well, it's almost 8pm and the meet is officially over...
Thanks to everyone for coming out against the odds (the weather held out for us :-) ) Also thanks for bringing stuff, if you did. We had tons of drinks and food, etc. What a great group!!
If I were not pictorially challenged (is that a word?) I would post photos, but I suck. Will have to leave it up to the many camera experts that attended...
Can't wait for the next one and hope you all had a good time.

And we all drove to Sara and Frank's for food...
At this point Frank was leading the group on his CBR and thinking if I was a Lemming and I rode off a cliff....

Pics look gread Chad! Great job!
Thank you to Frank and Sara for the hospitality once again (great food!), it was a great meet. It was a nice opportunity to finally meet some of the folks from this forum. Anyone organizing any meets around the IL/WI/IN area, PM me please.

Man of God.....
There was "No room at the inn", I couldn't find a room. I did a 60mi. radius search. No cigar! Or room. Just got home...... Many thanks for the invite and the food.... On the tank of gas on the way home I ran 420mi. before refilling! Not bad considering the speed's.

Did have a GREAT time, both at the meet and my drives! Well, not so much up - (and back) to the track and all the stops, looking for a place to bed down my car... Oh and myself!

I drove to the 2003 Schaumburg and 2004 WI from NE Ohio. That's somewhere around 450mi one way 7-hours+
Wait I think the WIZ drove up from Atlanta once?

Just kidding, I had to call him for directions to the '03 meet. He did drive to the '05 Schaumburg meet as well.
Mileage wise Cincy is tad closer then where I lived in NE Ohio. But not much, but the drive is faster since you can avoid the h*** of I-80/94

I was happy to have everyone over and I sincerely think everyone there was super nice!! p.s.--you guys really know your stuff. I always learn a lot at the meets.
Chad--I can't believe you actually stopped at Mars Cheese Castle.
Glad you got a pic of the rat rod and that you actually used the term correctly. kudos... I spent the better part of today at the Goodguys Street Rod show in Waukesha. My dad's 37 Ford coupe was looking hot... (too bad I suck at taking pictures)
Other pics:
A couple of "the guys" around a car that, honestly, I don't fully understand.
Two sick TL's
I'm partial to this photo, personally...

Have you ever stopped at the cheese castle? It was on a food network special of must stop at cornie food places. I'll have to work my way up to the chocolate cheese though.
You're surprised I know how to use the term Rat-rod? You think I grew up around only Hondas? BTW true Rat-rodders don't like the term at all.
Is your dad's Ford all steel? That's sweat, those billet rims?

I've got the race at home on the TiVo, I'll have to finish it up tonight. I was only able to watch the first hr. or so yesterday.
