Thanks for the heads up from the TL-S board.

A meet sounds interesting (although I don't know how many of you are interested in hanging with an old bald guy) but here's my current problem. Right now, I could drive (1) my wife's '00 Civic; or (2) my '90 Maxima SE. By the end of August, however (if not sooner), I will be sportin' an '02 TL-S. Sooo ... how's September?

I'm in Iowa. I like to meet you guys and see if you can be of assistance to a lady who wants to see if there are any good parts for my car that I've missed. I have a black 96 Acura 2.5 TL. So far, I have 18' rims, clear lights, and the springs. Not much. I'm just getting what I can at this time.

I don't think the Sonic is big enough if we have a good turn out. Is there someplace else we could meet that has a bigger parking lot? What about a school or mall? I was even thinking of the old Levitz parking lot. Suggestions?

How about right near Superior Acura. Just one block north on the access road is a JC Penney home store or discount store, something like that. Nice big parking lot, never gets full. You can see it from I35. Someone can invite the Acura folks over.

Sorry I have been unavailable lately. I've been on the road, right now in Columbus Ohio. I'm driving back from the Park Ave Acura meet in NJ.

I know our Midwest meet won't be as huge (over 100 at Park) but nice nonetheless. If we get a dozen, that would be great.

I vote for the 30th also. As far as dealership sponsorship, after seeing Park Ave, not sure what Superior (or anyone else) will be able to do.

At Park Avenue Acura (just some ideas) I remember:

1.Name tags
2.Prizes
3.Food
4.It appears all the dealership employees were there.
5.We had the meet on their premises so we had places to go beside around our cars.
6.T-shirts, hats
7.Streeteffectz, dent wizard, etc.
8.etc.

I'm not sure what part of this we might expect from Superior, I suggest we just let them (and perhaps Jay Wolfe) know that we are going to be meeting....

Anyway, as far as location, that's depends on the the number of participants. A lot of folks will attract attention. Whether it's a Park or Mall parking lot or wherever, we should decide if we haven't already.

My input: I'm pretty sure the Leawood Police will pay us a visit at Town Center. If we can handle that, that parking lot would be great; better than the JCPenney Outlet lot. At Town Center Mall, are we talking about the SE corner near Dean/Deluca? A public park would be nice, I had intended to drive around town for a few days and talk to my friends and learn of a nice, accessible, quiet, and clean location.

Finally, 1pm is ok, but Park started at 9am and it was well after 3pm before anyone knew it. If we start at 1pm, we should choose an ending time so that we can know when to "say our goodbyes".

Looking forward to it. Oh, by the way, at Park Avenue, I believe the TLs outnumbered the CLs slightly (if you count the Legends).

The Aircraft is avaible is people want their cars photographed with it. Also, the downtown airport has a good sized parking lot, and it is usually pretty empty on the weekends if you wanted to meet there, but not too much to do dowqn there. Also, the stadium parking lots is huge, but you wil have to check for a game, ect.......Good luck

Where in the HECK did the date of 23rd come up? Anyway this is my suggestion...

1. Stick with the 30th since that is what has been publicized for a couple of weeks now.

2. 1:00 pm to start and then anyone that is interested can go to the downtown airport around 6:00 to have their TL picture with a jet and the KC skyline in the background. We would end after that.

3. Town Center works for me but if somebody could find a park I think that could be great as well. What about Shawnee Mission park?

4. Superior -- Daverman, can you continue to follow up with Superior? It would be great if they would show.

5. Food? Do we want to have everybody bring something or would you guys like to just hit a restaurant sometime?

I agree with Daverman. I prefer the 23rd @1:00 at the parking lot, from there who knows, and see if we can get Superior Acura for sponsorship, if any in KC can be able to contact them. So, how about it?
