FROM THE USA
From the Ambassador Bridge exit south onto Huron
Church Road following signs to Highway 401. Turn
right (west) on Malden Road, the fourth light from
the Ambassador Bridge exit. Follow Malden Road to
Malden Park on the right. Follow the road around
the pond, the Visitor Centre is on the left.
Don't tell me you don't know how to get to the Ambassador bridge.

I honestly don't know for sure. I've always taken I-75 south to the tunnel. This time, I'll be coming from East Lansing taking I-96, to the bridge which I don't know where it is.

To get to Malden Park from the Tunnel ...

1) When you leave Customs, make a LEFT on Park Ave
2) At the light, make a RIGHT onto Ouellette Ave (headed to the waterfront)
3) When you reach Riverside Dr, go LEFT
4) Travel about 3 miles until you see the Ambassador Bridge
5) Make a LEFT before actually reaching the bridge (Huron Chuch Rd)
6) Proceed 2 miles on Huron Church (stay on the right hand lane)
7) Make a RIGHT onto Malden Rd (you'll see a Holiday Inn Select at the corner)
8) Continue on Malden Rd until you see the park on your righthand side (a few miles)

This is based on my memory. Everything is correct until you reach Malden Rd. Use the PDF file in the link I sent and use google maps or mapquest to get more exact directions / distances.

I dunno, the Milan event goes until ~ 9:30-10, so that'd be alot of driving to just go for drinks in Windsor. If the meet was more like noon I could justify the drive, but otherwise I cant.

I think a couple of my friends are going to the UTL, too. They asked me to sign up, but since I'm not too involved with Xceedspeed or too fond of Milan, I decided not to participate.

But have fun and hopefully you'll make it to the next meet.

I dont love Milan, but its cool to hang out with a bunch of car people and the competition is pretty strong at the UTL events. I hope to contend for the top spot this year, so I cant really miss an event. Hope you guys have fun, and I'll def try to make the next meet.

OK, I combined the two lists. If you're planning on bringing anything, copy/paste and add yourself on there.

Dragonlord -- buns, chips, dip, ketchup and mustard
Pure Adrenaline -- brats, hot dogs, hamburger patties
98CLChick -- beverages (beer, pop, water), plates, cups, and ice
Derrick -- ice and potato/maconi salad
Astroboy -- propane and whatnot

We need utensils (forks and knives and whatnot) and entertainment (frisbee/football/super soaker? ) Someone please sign up for those, and if anyone thinks of anything else we need, feel free to add it to the list (you don't necessarily have to bring it).

Astroboy -- Will you be bringing tongs and stuff, too, for grilling?

i'm looking forward to this!

looks like the Travelodge downtown is where we'll stay, seems to be the most central.

Travelodge is central ... right at the start of Ouellette Ave (where all the bars/pubs are located). There's a decent bar next door to that hotel toward Pilette Ave ... can't remember its name -- has a great view of the Renaissance Centre.

Hey 98CLChick -- where do you and your friends go in Windsor?

We've been pretty much everywhere, but we mostly stick to the places with good music and a dance floor. Dean Martini's is a great place to start the night out, Bentley's is a fave, Voodoo, O, Woody's, and Pepper's are only fun if the place is packed. Dante's is fun at the end of the night because it's open till 5am. The Beach looks like it might be a fun place. Since it's a Sat night (no 18+ in Detroit) and everyone is home from school, I'm sure it will be crazy. I hope you guys like to dance!

oohhh, Bentley's a great place to chillax and hang out. I usually like to end my night at Woody's, because it gets pretty crazy.

My brother will be coming with his '05 TL, and my buddy will be coming with his Integra Type-R. Andrew *might* come with his Integra Type-R, as well.

Looks like I will be the only one not bringing any friends. Oh well, my friends are car-clueless, and most of them have boyfriends anyways.

I'm teeing off at the Roseland before the meet, if two more people are interested we can create a foursome. I'm probably out on the boozing and club hopping, but will def hit the Poker room before I run for the border.

Hey PistonFan -- Roseland is right in my neck of the woods -- South Windsor. It's not a bad course ... they just need to water it more in the summertime. I haven't played there in 8 years (when my high school friends and I used to play).

Pure Adrenaline and I know how picky you are about food, 98CLChick ... maybe bring stuff you'll eat and a couple more kebabs to keep the natives from being restless.
