Arrow --MI/Windsor Meet--May 21!

I know we were discussing it in this thread, shall we all try and get something organized? I'm such an meticulous freak, I hate waiting until the last minute to plan something.

If it's gonna be in May, it looks like it'll have to be either the 14th or 21st. Otherwise we can figure out a date in June or July. Derrick or I can scope out a place to have it in Windsor, and I was thinking we could have a bbq.

If we get this thing organized, I'll volunteer to bring all the drinks (beer, pop, water, etc...)

Suggestions, anyone?

Hey 98CLChick,

Thanks for posting this one up. I've been pretty busy with work and the like ... Looks like I'd better get cracking on where we could all meet up in Windsor. I don't know if I can get a space on the waterfront + BBQ access but I'll see what people I know who can make it happen. Don't hold your breath on it (unless you want to meet early and spend the whole day there ...) I'll try and find other venues on this side of the border that can accommodate, say ... 20 cars? That's a high estimate, IMHO.

One thing ... please don't say Belle Isle if we're doing this in Detroit ... LOL.

I'm not familiar with Windsor, so it's up to you guys. But anything I can do to help, just ask.

Are we still planning on going out that night? I say we get a suite, and go bar hopping.

j/k

I think we won't have a problem with finding a place in Windsor....

There is a huge park across from Casino Windsor with plenty of parking *(I think they allow bbq). Probably won't have the same turnout as GTA, but it will be fun nonetheless.

Eh, it's more fun with a smaller group of people, anyway. Big meets are fun, but it's not as personal or whatever.

We should have a cruise. Some roads with a lot less cars then the one going to All Star.

Meet

Count me in, but I thought we were using the other thread. We have to keep each other posted. I'll be there, Windsor is just a hop away.

Funny how people in the Midwest use 'pop' like Canadians. Don't wanna be sophisticated and call it 'soda' like out west, either ...

Sounds good. I don't think I've ever gone to Windsor and not been shitfaced. I'm not about to change that tradition, either.

So it looks more and more like this --

1. Meet up in a park or something, and BBQ. Robb will drink his Heinekken, and Jen will eat her Kit Kats.

2. Toss the ball around, hang out and drink for a while.

3. If we get a hotel room, we'll go, change, freshen up, whatever. Then we'll go bar hopping.

4. poytuiodflkjsf?? sldfkjkleii!!! !?!?!? <--

So what date are we doing this?? I'm free just about every weekend except for the last weekend of May.

Is it possible to conduct a poll in this thread? We should list the possible dates, and see which one people prefer. We should be allowed to have more than one choice, though, IMO.

It seems like it'll have to be May 14, or we'll have to wait until June/July.

how many michigan members are on this forum, anyway?

btw, if you haven't guessed it, i'm rob's bro andy. i guess im a "noob" compared to rob's monstrous 5000+ posts. heh

Hey Andy!
You two should both go if it's on the 14th. Think it as a birthday party just for you.

Kind of weird that we're communicating through the forum, but hey, it's up to you. I just figured that I'll probably come home and we'll go out to dinner or something with mom and dad. I'm sure they would like to spend time with you on your 21st.

Regardless of my post count, you're still a noob. Now go get me a beer.

Would June be a better time?

I realize the 14th is about 3 weeks away ... weather should be OK (not like it is now). But I know a lot of you guys wanna celebrate end of year finals (suckas still in school) so that might be a good time to have a meet.

I'm on the fence on the date but I'd prefer June due to the looks of my schedule. My

I don't have a problem with the meet being close to the May 28th TO meet. especially since that meet has nothing to do with AcuraZine really. What we're talking about is more hanging with a group of friends, not meeting a bunch of strangers....

i am not planning to go to missasaga meet if i go to the windsor meet

i cannot take 2 weekends off for sure, and i prefer on the long weekend since it's easier for me to ask for a day off (coz it's quiet in the downtown for the weekend)

and i will bring my new girl along as well~

Do we HAVE TO do this on a Saturday? Why not Sunday, or even Friday? It seems like just about every Saturday is not gonna work out for the next 2 months.
