Hey Time For Sleeep, don't you mean Saturday?
i hope to see you there the right day, Timmy.

I found this forum through Meguiar's, but I'll be at the class with my grand daddy 98 teg. It's so old, Acurazine doesn't have a home (forum) for it.

where are all of the posts?!(there are none here OR on the Meguiar's forum) i thought that by this time their would be a shitload already. i'll post some pics right now but, i have to ask something. where was everyone else from our "big ass class" at? there were only eighteen of us or so that showed up.

well anyways, we had a cool ass teacher, and you know that pretty soon, alot of us will have some nice paint to be flashing around.

To tell the truth, I'm a little disappointed today! Minus some that notified in advance that they could not come, there were still more than 40 people sign up and it's only about half to show! I have to say that "shame on you!" for those that did not show up and not notify either me or Mike in advance. Your loss!

For those who come to the class today, it's a blast! I have such a great time learning new stuffs, and Yes, I still learn new things everytime I went there and I have to admit that I came to these class quite a few time. And I were a bit suprise that Barry Meguiar came to visit the class today and we had opportunity to take a picture with him

One thing that I highly recommend everyone who attend the class today to go to here: http://meguiarsonline.com/forums/showthread.php?t=17252 and post your comments (positive or negative) regarding about the class and about Mike. The more good comments about the class and Mike, the more chance that Meguiars will continue to support us "car crazy."

I'll post pics a bit later since I have to process close to 100 pics.

Here are the pics that I took for today class. If anyone want to have hi-res pics, please let me know so I can send them to you. Keep in mind that each pic in hi-res is close to 8MB.

The Man: Mike Phillips

The Acuraziners

What's a surprise! Looks who coming down?

Horrible swirls/scratches/and water spots:

Did you spray "quick detail" on the car before wipe off? Everyone is so exciting to clean the car that they just wipe off the dirts without spray lubricant on!

Now, everyone should have one bottle of lubricant on hand

Learn how to clay

ScratchX by hand:

Learn how to use Dual Action Polish the right way!

Which product do I use today?

Swirls?......what's swirls?

The owner is learning proper technique of using G-100

After 3 applied of ScrathX by hand:

Porter Cable (G-100) with M#80

Thanks for taking the time to post those pics.

It's funny when I got home I kinda wanted to clay the car, but when I opened up the clay kit box all I found was the microfiber and the detailer, no clay bars and no mini-bottle wax! I'm not kidding at all. Someone must have played a prank on me while I went to the bathroom and forgot to give it back to me? Or perhaps it was simply a packaging mistake?

It's all good though, the things I learned far exceeded any free product

Hey, sorry about that. Maybe you grap the box that previously open for demonstrate or something like that. I still have some extra clay bars from the class so if you have time , just come to my house to pick them up. (PM for address).

Thanks Huy, that's very generous of you but it's cool.

The paint finish you have on your car is absolutely amazing. I couldn't even find any flaw on the hood of the car. Keep up the terrific job and thanks for helping set up this event.

Its $225.95 on Meguiars website and $149.99 on Amazon.

Meguiars offers a lifetime warranty though, so if the $149.99 promotion is still good, I want to pick one up through them.

Huy, do you have the contact info?

Luis, Meguairs sells $225.95 online, but if we attended one of the detail class, they sell for $149.99 with lifetime warranty. Make sure when you call customer service, you said that you a member of Meguiar online forum and attended the detail class on last Sat. Everything else is 10% off with free shipping. This apply for anyone who attend one of the detail class.

For those interested in a G-100, perhaps we can get a group buy going?? There's a good site that sells Meguiar's products - www.autodetailingsolutions.com. If we get a good sized group, maybe they can knock of 10%-15%. Let me know if anyone is interested!

Hey guys, back when I was a member of the Alfa Romeo club here in san diego we had what was like a tool library for some of the more expensive tools that were needed to work on the car. Tools that you use occassionally, but that you really did not need to have around all the time. If there were six people interested in a G-100 they could each put in $25 and purchase it and then you just take turns with it or you can get together and use it. After all its allot easier to detail your car with a helper. And especially with the lifetime warranty you wouldnt have to worry about who broke it! I already have a cheap DA, so it would be tough to rationalize 150 for another one, but I would go for $25.

Luis put Connor and I down for the carting.

Not a bad idea, but I think I like the idea of having my own so I can use it anytime I want.

So I know that the G-100 comes with a backing plate and a soft foam polishing pad, but what else should I pick up.

I want a bonnet for easy waxing (one of these):
http://www.meguiars.com/?garage-acce...ofiber-Bonnets
http://www.meguiars.com/?garage-acce...nishing-Bonnet

and a cutting pad for the bonnet:
http://www.meguiars.com/?pro-pad/SOFTBUFF-Cutting-Pad

Anything else?
