man you're gonna regret all this trash talking. :shakehd: Seriously tho, are there usually only hondas at honda meets like this? Should I crash the party?

...I don't want any jealous acura owners keying my car .

Of course it’s gonna effect the life of your clutch if you slip it too much on repeated launches.
Don’t let the “experts” here tell you otherwise.

I want to do E-Town at least once more so I can see what the car does in the Quarter Mile.
After that I will just be a spectator for future meets.
Last time I went we were only allowed to do 1/8 mile runs because of the windy conditions.

I’m still undecided on the Autocross portion of this get together.
Those are REAL hard on brakes & rotors and possibly even FENDERS if you or the drivers around you aren’t careful.

MOST importantly, u beat the hell outta the tires...brakes and rotors ren't NEARLY as affected, they just get hot, sticky, and don't work as well...but the tires...say goodbye to yer sidewall tread and about 3K miles

but it's all in good fun!!!

I'll probably make it down. If I start making enough money at bartending, I might be able to do a few things before then.

Would anyone mind if I invited a couple of Supra buddies? I'm not sure they'd come, but I might ask if no one here objects, cuz we have friends in Montclair and would probably stay with them.

Cool. It wouldn't be exactly fair tryin' to run against their '97 Supra TTs, anyway. One's in the 11.00s and the other one has a silly system and an X-Box...great for waitin' in the staging lanes at a busy track .

Supras will be fine lol . They obviously can't compete but that's what the stands are for lol. If the track is closed for the event then they may not be allowed on the pit side. No big deal, they just park and walk around back . Just a few extra steps.

Sweet.... I'll be there!! I'll have to swap on my summer tires and hope we don't get any April snowstorms

I will probably not do the AutoX, but I definitely want to run the 1/4 mile. Wonder if they'll make it cheaper for those who just want to run the 1/4 and not AutoX......

Isn’t that the reason you got NAVI in your car?

It’s about 2-Hours from Philly and there were a couple of guys that went from that area last time.
I’m just north of you near Allentown and it took me about 2-hours if I remember correctly.

It is 4.5 hours drive from North Andover, MA. A bit too far to go I am thinking. I wasn't planning on racing but I would help represent the CL-S crowd! Maybe if there is a "group" from MA/NH I would consider it. That is a lot of driving down and back for a 6 hour race day.

Nah.. I'd rather just drag.

My car isn't really setup for either.. but it's less setup for Auto-X... and I don't feel like beating on the tires/brakes. But I do feel like going in a straight line as fast as possible

Plus, I'd like to get a good baseline 1/4 mile before I add the headers since in November we were only allowed to run the 1/8th mile.....

Hey guys. I'll be there. Looks like I won't have my CL during this run though. I am trading it in for a 6-speed Z at the end of this month. I may not be able to run, but I'd definitely like to watch.

Lou: I'd love to run against you. I think it will be close, but from my test drives of the Z, my butt dyno says it's faster than my CLS with Headers.
