MA,CT,New England Meet II

OK crew, we need to get together again! I have been out of touch lately (I moved), and I want to see some awesome rides!

What do you all think of an August or September meet? I know many are busy for the Summer, so we could do it after Labor Day. Should we do it in Framingham again?

This time, I am bringing food!

You know me Leslie , I am a hungry boy!

I figure we should plan it for a Saturday, that way if it rains, we can postpone to Sunday.

ANy ideas on location? Framingham, Boston, Worcester, somewhere in NH or maybe even in CT at Foxwoods or Mohegan?

Anybody? Hello!?!

Wooooo Hooo! I'm ready! If TLwiz is bringing food, I'll bring a cooler full of drinks for everyone. I don't know how involved you wanna get, but if someone brings a small grill, I can bring burgers and tube steaks. :p

Want to try and involve a dealer this time? I can ask Acura of Auburn, but no guarantee.

I'm on vacation for a week (I can't wait) from August 5th to the 12th, so if you plan it then, I won't be able to make it. Other than that I'm golden. I was sad to not see TLwiz and janda_janda at the last CT meet, but I got to meet some new people, which was nice. shoofin'TL took me for a ride in his TL which has sways and springs and it was a good demo! Oblio98 was the only one I knew there, and I got to meet snook789...it was a good time. I hope to see tons of people when this one gets organized together. How about August 18th? Just throwing a date out on the table, what's good for everyone?

I am going to try to plan it for the end of August or September beginning sometime. I want as many people to make it as possible, so I want to be sure there is enuogh notice.

Sorry about the CT meet. I wanted to go, but was moving into my new house, and my wife would have KILLED me!

Ah c'mon TLwiz, that's no excuse! Geeze, why did you have to buy a new house and mess everything up. Only teasin...congrats on the new house, I hope you didn't go crazy unpaking too many things. We also don't want your wife to kill you!

You mentioned foxwoods or mohegan sun...the idea is interesting, but what kind of parking is in that area. I can only picture a small amount of that area and I don't know of much, other than the huge parking lots AT the casino. Hmm...we could do it there! hehe

I was thinking AT either Casino. They have large lots, and are sure to have an area open enuogh for us all. There are accomodations for those from far away (mini-vacation people!), and there are places to sit and eat.

Other than that, if it is to be in Framingham or somewhere similar again, i would suggest a park, rather than a parking lot. Then we could do food and drink.

You could also consider a site near www.f1boston.com. Although it requires you to be 21...but I think the majority of us are. just a thought.

With the amount of traffic boston has, it would probably take the same amount of time to drive to foxwoods anyways.

I'm honestly up for whatever, as long as something happens. The park idea was kinda interesting. It would make for a more social event.

Ah, another NE Meet, an excuse for me to clean up my rig and possibly get my front lip fixed (many of you remember the cosmetic work my wife did on it). With my recent wedding and new job I've been a little out of touch, but a meet I could get into! TLWiz, I ended up not sending my resume to your wife b/c I got a job at Monster the Monday after our last meet. Thanks for the offer though and I hung on to your card.

As for the meet, I love the spot in Framingham b/c it is central and it is less than a minute from my house, but I realize that the world can't always revolve around me. Plus, I think a BBQ in the vacant Caldor lot would go over like a fart in a space suit with the local authorities. I would be game for a trip to F1 in Braintree, I actually know the General Manager at F1 (http://www.f1boston.com) from an old job, so maybe he could hook us up. Those little cars would fit me like a hand puppet though, but they have good food and drinks and I am sure they wouldn't mind us loitering around their parking lot. I will give F1 a call and get the low down and give you all an update.

BTW, Handruin, I still haven't made a trip to the track and what is a "tube steak?"

See you all shortly!

Ben

How ya been, Ben? How's married life treating ya? Good I hope! The F1 Boston idea is starting to intrigue me now. Is that the place you pay to race with others in go-carts ? Hmmm.

I'd be up for framingham again too...you're right about a BBQ in that lot would not go too well.

As for a tube steak, well, it's pretty much another weird name I use for a hot-dog. Nothing more, nothing less.

If you guys make it in CT (like the DOT building on the Berlin Turnpike) I might be able to make it and so will a few other NJ people. Anywhere further than that is a very long drive for us. But if you guys can't than take a lot of pictures.
Keep me updated as to where this is going to take place.

We could meet somewhere closer to NYC so more Jersey and NYC people could attend as well and we could have a bigger showing. I mean most people don't wanna travel 2+ hours to come to a meet. How about Stamford? Good idea right Adam?

Hey guys. I'm from Boston area and own a Maxima, but I would like to look at your hot rides since I'm considering a 02 TL-S 6-speed (if available) in a year or so.

It'd be cool if you have a meet somewhere in MA. Someones suggested Framingham as a meet location and I think that sounds great. There's a lake near Rt. 30 right off exit 13 from MassPike. That's where we had a Maxima meet last April. Very nice area. Just my .02 cents

Andy.

That lake/park is very nice. There are boat launches there, and plenty of space to hang for a while and have food.

Damn, if I cannot get it together soon, I will just have the locals over to my new house for a bbq and party!

Sorry to say but it looks like

each group like to have a meet in their own state near where they live. It is okay to drive one - three hours for a meet once in awhile. From the looks of things people wants to keep it an hour or less for the drive to the meet. So I think MA will have their own and CT will also. Maybe some other day in the future we can have a big official New England Acura meet.

Talking New England Meet

Hey guys, I'm new to the forum... but Stamford sound like a good local to me(cause I live in Stamford)
Seriously though, the Casino would be good. It's fairly centraly located and hey we can go play blackjack afterwards!

I've got a Diamond White Type-S/no nav. I'm getting the underbody kit installed on Thurs. I'm still breaking in the engine, but as soon as that's done, look for the big white blur.

Sure you want crazy acura forum members over to your new house?

The lake area sounds good to me. When do you think is a good time to meet?
