KC Mega Meet - Sept/Oct
All it's time to start planning the next big KC meet. Currently all details are TBD so post up ideas on Dates, Locations, etc.
I know the last weekend in September and 3rd weekend in October are out for me, but that shouldn't stop us for having the meet if that is what works best for everyone. We'll start by setting a tentative date and see what people think. I'm going to set this on a Sunday again unless Steven has Saturdays open now.
Location of meet can be whatever we decide. Jay Wolfe Acura did express interest in hosting another meet this fall. The guys I know at Superior Acura would love to sponsor it so I think they would convince the GM to do it this time. We can also choose a non-dealer location as well. Either way we go I would like to have the opportunity to have other sponsors involved as well (more prizes). Jay Wolfe did not want that the first meet.
Tentative Date of Meet: Sunday Sept. 14th
If the meet is on Sunday, then Saturday afternoon/evening/night will be used for people that are around to meet up for a photo shoot at a good spot and then go out for some fun.

Really, the 14th? You're killin' me man.
That's the home opener for the Cheifs.
Obviously do it on a day that works best for everyone, but I'm out for the 14th... I'll be drinking $7 beers instead.

The 14th was just a date I threw out there. I'm open to other dates, we just need to get one solidified soon so we can setup a location. Being that's the chiefs opener we should pick another day as there may be more football fans among us.

Hi guys !!! I'm here. Work has been so darn busy that I haven't been able to check in at work. Plus, I just bought a Macbook Pro yesterday during the Sales Tax free weekend at the Apple store on the Plaza.
A couple of thoughts on our next meet-this is up for discussion....
1) You guys are right. During Chiefs season, we won't get many people on a Sunday. Since I'm on the radio each Saturday untill 3 PM, I can come later-or maybe we start later in the day.
2) I would like to propose we talk to Jay Wolfe first. Since they sponsored the first meet and did such an awesome job-I propose they have first right of refusal. Hey Superior Acura had first shot at the last meet and they passed. So since they snoozed, they get a chance if Jay Wofe declines.
What do you guys think about those 2 proposals? I signed up for the Happy Hour just now too

We are off to a good start again! Feedback noted on the intial date being the cheifs opener. The date is being moved one week ahead. This will be tentative until we confirm location.

Some ideas for pictures could be the new Sprint Center or the KC Star building, the Scout, Crown Center Fountains, Union Station.

We should also consider a Sunday night or something where the buildings are lit up, but it's not too dark.

Guys, the Chiefs open on the 7th in New England at 12 noon. Are you sure you want that date? Do you want to have the event after 3PM?

I talked to George at Jay Wolfe today. He said his boss is out of town on vacation for a week and a half. I don't think it will be a problem, but he has to check with him first. Just as an alternative, the Chiefs open date is Oct 12th. If a September date won't work, maybe we could have it on Oct. 12th, which would open up people who want to watch the season opener in New England.
What do you guys think of that?
