July TL SF Bay Area Meet
Calling all SF Bay Area TL owners.
So it's time to meet up again...
Guys from the CL board are looking to meet up as well.
I am suggesting either July 21 or July 28. Definitely will be somewhere in the mid-peninsula so that it is equal distance for the San Jose, East Bay, and SF(Daly City) folks.
Let's figure out which date is best.
Why don't be do something different like lunch at Mimi's Cafe, Red Robin, or at the Sport Bar in Bridgepoint Shopping Center in San Mateo/Foster City then either go to a park and hang out or take a drive along Hwy 1. But BBQ is an option as well.
Let see what people want to do.

21st or the 28th is cool for me... If any memebers are interested, we play hoops every Saturday - just send me an e-mail, so I can give you the info. Maybe we can play hoops, have a meet & then go out to lunch - watcha think? BBQ is always cool too, just bring your share though...

See what people have... meet up with other owners to see what they have and what's new...
Come on... Damn I feel like used car salesman... hmmm maybe a good change of pace from the tech world... or a good way to get my NSX.

I settled on the 28th for the meet.
at 12pm...
I'm still trying to figure which restaurant in bridgepointe mall and park we are going to... probably the one next to the water... in Foster City but if we are going to want to drink then we need to find a different park...

the CL guys are representing... they have about 5 guys going now...
and I have 2 including myself.
I guess there still is a debate on what day we should hold it..

Any of the 2 Saturdays are cool... I also think there is an all you can eat oriental place there in Bridgepoint, across the street from the fish market. My other suggestion, we can also play some hoops, if anyone is interested...

We are meeting on the Saturday July 28, 12:30pm for lunch. We will be eating at Armadillo Willy's in Bridgepointe Shopping mall, San Mateo/Foster City for lunch.
Then if people want we can head over to a park in Foster City to just chill or play some ball. I'm thinking like Catamaran Park
Then just do whatever...

Do you know if that particular one is a sitdown one or an order and pick up your food type? If it is sitdown, it might be hard to accomidate all the people, but the other kind would be good.. either way.. sounds fine with me
If its warm enough, why not head over to Half Moon Bay or something..

I was down in LA all last week.. and wasn't able to get online much..
Not only that, the only connection I could find was a 28.8 modem.. argh... it was just too painful to try and get on the web..
But for the meet, what you have sounds good to me.. I still have the list of members from the last meet, I'll have to find it and send it to you so you can email them..

hmm how far exactly is that from Berkeley? i really wanna go but knowing me i'll probably get lost. don't have a navi like you 2nd gen people do so i have to depend on the good old road map. if someone can give me and idea of how long it take i'd greatly appreciate it.

Its probably not that far at all. But I think edgalang lives in Berkley too so he can give you a better estimate on the distance..
but the are that the meet is in is around where the San Mateo Bridge(92) and the 101 meet. So maybe.. 30 miles?? I dunno..

Dang, you guys are complaining about the drive, and I am half tempted to drive there from the Portland area. We don't have enough meets up this way. I might go see some friends in Morgan Hill that week. But, I don't know if I want to put the 1,600 miles on my car.

D*mn, and now you tease me about Del Taco. Hey, if I can't make it, could you guys UPS me up some Del Taco, overnight?
I lived in the Bay Area from 92-96... and really miss it. But, my TLS is probably more unique in the NorthWest. I'll make it down there sometime, and maybe hook up. I remember a few fun drives on the Richmond bridge, going to the East Bay, if I remember right. 120mph plus, at night of course.
Post some pictures for those of us that miss it.

Is there a Del Taco in the Bay?? I have not been able to find any around here.. but when I'm in Sacto, there are about 3 of them within a few miles of eachother..
