check out the website, it says :
"RACEWAY PARK HAS EXTENDED THE RACING SEASON BY ONE WEEK
ALL ACTIVITIES FROM N0VEMBER 16 & 17
have been rescheduled to November 23 & 24"
that means Acura Wars is *ON* for next weekend! Lets hope for no rain!
Now i have to figure out if I want to drive all the way back to NJ again for the meet (I live in Northern Virginia, but my parents live in NJ).. Hmm, decisions decisions.

E-town called me this morning to reiterate the fact that we're still on for this Sat, 11/23
recap of stuff:
1. 9AM track opens, so u have the option of coming way early and get some practice runs in
2. 1PM tech inspection CLOSES...2PM eliminations BEGIN...once u start eliminations and lose, u cannot race anymore, not even in the time trials that r separate from the Acura elimination
3. bring food with u...there is a slim chance we'll b able to leave the track during the day, but they kinda frown upon it
4. everyone who wants to stay until eliminations r over and trophies r given out is more than welcome to come out to Fridays for some eats which is about 5 minutes from the track
5. we'll have our own separate pit area to dump stuff like spares, seats, upperstrut bars, etc...i cannot guarantee the safety of yer stuff tho
6. fees r $25 for all day racing, including eliminator, so the earlier u go, the more runs u'll get, and the more yer gettin for the $$...$10 for spectating
7. suggestions: don't bring valuables, otherwise, lock them in the car out of the way for people to see or carry them with u...if u wanna reduce weight by taking out seats, upperstrut bar, spare, jack, etc., b careful where u place them...since we'll have a pit area, we can combine a lot of people's things into a small area
that's about all i can think of off the top of my head

Don’t worry though. It was only like 5-bucks for the one box I sent to Pittsburgh and like seven for the ones I sent to Eric in California.
I’m only “delivering” to three people at Englishtown.

So if you can't make it, that's cool. Just let me know and I'll send you the cash.!

I’m really only interested in taking a few runs down the track myself to see what the car will do and don’t really expect to compete for a trophy.
Just curious how that works. If I need to spend the 25-bucks or not.

I was just in Norwalk last weekend. and, I'm getting a bad-ass cold , so I don't know if I'm gonna be up to makin' the trek. If I feel better Friday, I'd be cool with meetin' up before going to the track.

lastest hourly forecast from accuweather.com says rain stops by Sat early morning, so right now, we're like on the cusp...if the forecast holds, we're still on since eliminations don't start til 2PM...but there's still a lot of time between now and tom where the weather can change, so we'll have to wait and see...so i ask that if it's possible, please maintain a holding pattern...im terribly sorry we gotta do it this way...u would think mother nature would b a little more sympathetic to us

My area is still calling for Snow and/or Rain Friday night into Saturday morning and a 40% chance of precipitation.
Since I’m more interested in the morning practice runs then the afternoon eliminations, the weather EARLY in the day is most important to me.
Looks like this is going to be a Friday night decision for me if I’m going or not.

talked to E-Town before...they sympathize with the weather situation, so they suggested Sat morning if it's iffy, call E-town's line, and if the park's closed, there will b an announcement, otherwise, they may keep it open b/c they feel racing will commence later on in the morning...they have their own weather station equipment they use to make their decision
so if yer traveling from far away, i'd suggest u give them a call Sat morning before u head out and maybe 1 or 2 more times while yer driving, cuz i'd hate to see u guys travel far for nothing
yer also more than welcome to call my cell Sat morning to see if anything's changed
with that said, i think it would b best for the Long Island crew to still meet at 7:15/7:30 at Christopher Morley Park, but when we get to the rest area off I95 in Jersey, chill out for like half hour and head off to E-Town at like around 9 - 9:30 just in case people from up north r delayed due to the weather
again, my cell is 516-353-1494 for any/all questions

Scooter,
Do they have any means of DRYING the track?
You know like those jet trailers they use for NASCAR & IndyCAR.
The reason I ask is that it’s supposed to rain all night and the track will take several hours to dry naturally if they’re relying on the sun to do the job.

Good news, looks like the weather is going to hold up. It will be partly cloudy @ low to mid 40s but it's going to be windy as hell. So it is going to feel like below freezing therefore wear something really really warm. See you guys there.
