yea steve does all of my work that i cant do my self. also mister i was talkin about the drift show. p.s i just got off of the phone with him told him the right date he said he will def be there. i also told him its an all import meet so get as many as you can and he is gunna make the acura-cl.com stickers for me. yes blktypes its there project sr20det swap car. the wide body civic with lambo doors is awating its engine. steve has had that 240 ever sence he opened vertex like almost 10 years that thing has gone threw so many changes its not even funny..

Location: Burke Lake Park Info, Directions on Burke Lake Park

Time: 10am-2pm...for those who want get a good spot to BBQ and set up at the picnic areas.

It's a $100 rental fee for the picnic table area. For those interested in BBQ'ing/picnicing, let me know ASAP if you wanna go in on the rental fee, otherwise, no Q'ing and we chill in the parking lot.

i was plaing on going to bjs and picking up a shit load of meat and buns for the meet... as far a the 100 rental all we have to do is get 10 people to throw in 10 bucks each...

 

right, I need to call to reserve the spot ASAP. So, by Monday Aug 2, I will need a minimum of 10 people to donate $10 bucks for the picnic site. Me and Evilone will supply food and liquids along with what other people bring if everyone pitches in on the rental fee. I will call the park tomorrow to see the picnic site is still in available.

Lets get to it...need some donations. To make things simple, I have paypal.

It's definately the 14th. Monday Aug 2, is the deadline for donations on the picnic area so that I might have enough time to send in our reservation for the picnic area. They have different picnic locations in the park, but the $100 picnic area is the cheapest.

I was shooting for 10am just in case we needed to get there early to setup. I know people like to show up fashionably late. So, if we can reserve the picnic area, people can get there a lil later. I'm not trying to be there all day either, that's why I was shooting for 10am-2pm...enough time for people to get there, chill, eat, network.

I'm not too sure on alcohol in a public park in Va. you might wanna talk to Evilone about that issue since he stays in Va.

Damn, I just called the Fairfax Cty picnic reservation line and the automated voice said they will get back to me less than 2 business days.

So, I left info about reserving a space from 10-3p on 8/14/04. So, hopefully they will get back to me ASAP.

So BBQ'ing is out of it.

We can still use their parking lot. Evilone said it's pretty big. unless people wanted to still BBQ somewhere else.

 

I just thought the whole idea of the meet in the park was so that we could BBQ

 

well the initial idea for the park was the big parking lot that Evilone mentioned in the previous "White Flint Meet" thread. the other lots in the park cost like $300 bucks to reserve!

If anyone knows of any other parks in the area that aren't booked and have a large parking lot, please feel free to chime in.

Otherwise, we can still meet, just no BBQ'n. I don't want to change the date and location because people might get confused, especially from other forums.

the spot that u resver is why in the back of the park there is more than enough places to bbq and we dont have to rent out the lot. we can all park in the frizbe golf parking lot it can fit about 100 cars or so.... ill have the food in the coolers so we can just find an open area and set up and hang out.. as for the beer. no one really fucks with you once your in there its teenagers that work the gate so they dont give a shit and you might have park patrol but if you see them just hide the shit in the cooler i dont for see any probs as longs as we dont have any wild drunks on our hands!!!!! we used to bring mixed drinks in 2 lt bottles and get drunk while playing frizbe golf there. just dont do stupid shit and no one will fuck with you. if you dont have a fairfax county sticker on your car its like 3 bucks to get in. if you dohave one its free entry....... the 14th is set date i have told to many people to change it now......10 please try not to be to late because the park will fill up in the after noon.......
