You guys are confusing me here. The Ram has food, and a great lunch menu for that matter. Busse Woods is just the woods. Why the potential change to Busse Woods? I dont see any advantage to doing the meet at Busse Woods as opposed to the Ram. At the Ram you get food AND space. I also have seen meets kicked out of Busse Woods, and akord 97 stated the same thing. With that in mind, why would you still want to do the meet there? It's just a bad idea in my opinion. Anyways, make a final decision, changing spots is just going to get confusing.

gocubsgo55- as the primary organizer, I think you should just set the spot and time and keep it as that. 1 or 2 people wanting to change the location is going to cause havoc and confusion in the long run. Make the executive decision and stick to it.

 

i agree synth, i just wanted everyone to be satisfied. for the most part, everyone agreed to The Ram, and it seems like there are no real problems with it.

If you don't want to eat, there's always just not eating. However, I think that lunch/dinner would be a nice addition to the meet. I don't want to seem like a boss (I didn't know I was the head honcho or something similar to it), but synth is right and I was thinking what he said; let's stick to what we decided.

 

Gocubgo55, you have to feel like the leader when setting up meets. Dont let others jump in and try to change the plans when things were already settled. There are plenty of chances in the year they can set up meets at busse. For now let this one be at Ram and make it final as you already did from the start of this thread.


Just go to the meet, you have my word that it will be good as i been there many times. You dont have to eat when going to a meet, there are plenty of people who stand outside while others go inside to eat. No biggie.

alrighty then. this is my first experience in gathering up people for a meet, so im still in the "amateur" phase. everything sounds good.

word! u just gotta stick with it. I mean, isnt that why its called "the finalized meet topic". There was also really no need to advertise this so early too, its local. But oh well, you will learn hard and fast how meets go, especially when u run them. Mainly its about socializing. You gotta go out of your way to make things run smooth. You just gotta start off with a small group. get a tight thing going, where everyone knows everyone. then the rest will all fall in smooth. I've only met like 3 of TSX guys. ah well, hopefully is the beginning of awesome meets for ACURAZINE.

 

I'm still in but whoa... the busse woods suggestion came out of nowhere! Honestly, I don't even know wtf that place is. Let's stick to the RAM because it's near the mall where I can drop off the gf so I don't get any lip.

btw, is anybody still interested in my set of oem black rubber TSX floormats? Basically new and originally $90 but I'll trade for nothing more than a case of heinekens or a bottle of glenlivet 12y. Deals don't get much better than that

Hard to say honestly. I been going to meets for over 2 years now and some thread will hardly have anyone say they are coming... but then 30 cars will show up. Its really weird that way.

you should just go to the car event. i would hold out for late spring/summer meets for larger numbers. but, if u got the time, why not.
