got my carPC installed last weekend...started at 5pm Friday afternoon and finished 3pm Saturday afternoon with no sleep and only one break...hopefully I can make it to the meet and show you guys my work

GPS with Mappoint 2004 for NAVI.
OEM non-navi LCD relocated in front of shifter.
PC built in plexiglass case in glovebox.
1Ghz, 512MB, 802.11g (located by the sunroof)
USB port in center console for mouse and playstation controllers
PS2 controllers control mouse and games (NES, SNES, Genesis emulators)
MediaCar and Frodoplayer interfaces
7" touchscreen in-dash

I might be able to come. Since this is the closest meet to me. I am about an hour or so from ATL. Where exactly is the mall at? I am over in Marietta some but don't know my way around great. Also know buckhead some what.

Everyone be sure to check back here for the final details of the meeting place because I have been having trouble getting Perimeter Mall people to give me a definite yes or no on the event. I will be exploring alternate meeting spots like Lenox and will keep the forum posted.

If anyone has any pull at Perimeter or has any ideas for another suitable meeting spot please PM me. One thing is for sure, we will have the meet!

Success! Finally got approval to have the meet at Perimeter Mall today. There will be a specifc spot allocated to us to park and I will post these details along with detailed driving directions to the mall at a later time.

Official Directions To The Meet-perimeter Mall Atlanta

Here are directions for April 16th:

MEET LOCATION: PERIMETER MALL

FOR THOSE WITH NAVI:
Try inputting the mall's phone number- (770)394-4270

The exact address of the mall is:
4400 ASHFORD DUNWOODY RD NE, ATLANTA, GA 30346-1518

DRIVING DIRECTIONS:

If you wish to use MAPQUEST:

If you are coming from south Atlanta (I-75 or I-85):

Drive north on I-75 or I-85, the two highways converge and go through downtown. When they split up again north of Atlanta, take I-85 North, after a couple miles, GA400 will split off of I85. Continue on GA400 North past the Toll Booth and take I-285 EAST. The exit you will take is Ashford Dunwoody Road- Exit #29. Make a left and you will see the mall on the left.

If you are coming from north Atlanta VIA I-75:

Take I-75 South to I-285. Take I285 East(or North) to Exit #29- Ashford Dunwoody Road. Make a left on the exit and the mall will be on the left.

If you are coming from north Atlanta VIA I-85:

Take I-85 South to I-285. Take I-285 West(or North) to Exit #29 -Ashford Dunwoody Road. Take a right and the mall will be on the left.

THERE WILL BE A DESIGNATED SPACE IN THE PERIMETER MALL LOT FOR US TO PARK. THIS INFO WILL BE POSTED SOON.

And this is my first meet with any car. So... what do people do at a meet besides show up and look at each others cars?
