Well, I got new tires and took the ride in for an alignment and the rear camber is off.

Trying to determine if I need a camber kit.

Thread in 2nd gen Suspension, but here are the specs to save you some time.

Dropped on H & R with Koni Yellows.
Camber shows
Rear Left -1.6 norm is -1.0 to 0
Rear Right -1.2 norm is -1.0 to 0

I know there will be some adverse tire wear, but does this justify a camber kit?

Thanks for the help

having more negative camber isnt necessarily a bad thing. You will get some adverse tire wear but I think if you rotate them more often you will be okay. There are plenty of people who put suspension on their cars and dont get a camber kit. You dont seem to be out that much. Not enough to make a difference in my opinion.

I got one because this is how far I was out.

Well . . . I'm out this weekend . . . can't make it. Just got the high school soccer tournament schedule and we have 2 games on Saturday!

And to top it off things have been a real bitch the past several weeks. Seems that everything that could go wrong has.

- Still no motor mounts . . .
- battery (2nd one) died 2 weeks ago
- had to replace a toilett and supply line 2 weeks ago
- brakes in the 4Runner are going out . . could be the master or boster
- still no date to get my front end fixed
- drain in kitchen backed up creating a small flood . . this will require a professional to inspect the drain to the mainline . . .
- got bronchitis and a respratory bug at the same time . . .
- and my left shoulder finally gave out . . . can't even bench 25lbs without real pain

and today I learned that our team will have to cut 2 people . . . and there are only 13 of us . . . :blindfold

I guess by the end of this month it should all be roses . . . as long as they are not on top of me.

So after all this, I was looking forward to tossing a couple down with you guys.

Oh well, sometimes we hit some rough road, so onward and upward. I'll hope to make the next one.

Thanks Ethan.

Sounds like I will be a Discount tire more frequent guest. Currently I rotate every 8K, sounds like I will go to 4K and shouldn't see much difference in tire wear.

The camber kit looked like $150 so the price wasn't bad, just didn't know how far out is really bad.

Mark sorry you hit the Motherlode of $hitty times. Taken individually you will knock them out quickly. Hope the physical part improves with the shoulder and respiratory. The rest can be fixed.

We will be enjoying the goodies and remember you at your soccer tourney.

Ruf, sorry to hear man. Keep your head up-things will get better.

I'm no certified drain inspector, or a master surgeon to fix the shoulder, but if there is anything that I can do-just shout.

Thanks ATX . .

I did get some good news . . . the mounts have been shipped.

But some bad news as well . . . the brakes on the 4Runner will cost a tad over $300 . Oh well, it's got almost 140k miles on it, so it't time to pay the piper.

I just got my order form Patrick (exceldetail) and did some minor detailing last night. Only took me 6 hours
Wash>
Clay>>
Compound needed spots and scratches>>>
Swirl remover>>>>
UPP (4 star Ultimate Paint Protection)

Turned off the lights in the garage and thought I had left some water on the car, it was a freaking reflection.

The UPP is amazing stuff. Smoother and easier than anything I have ever used.

Plan on another wash and UPP coat before the meet on Sat, we will seeif that works out.

Mine was with a PC also. You must have had some really bad issues to have needed 10 hours.

Don't feel bad still have another 1-2 hours tonight to 303 the interior and wash with one more layer of 4 star UPP

Wish I could have made it up there tonight, sounds like y'all will have a blast. My car is still in the shop from my finder-bender (having the grill painted also).

Just in case any of y'all missed seeing this one, Houston area meet.

Thanks Peter for hosting the meeting and providing the food. It was all very good. It was nice to see everyone again. I would have liked to stay longer and hang out some more. (some people had just sobered up and made it heh) The cars were looking good and the BBQ was great what else can you ask for.

Ditto to what everyone has already said. Peter always does an outstanding job hosting meets.

We need to meet up at least once a month now. Next month I think Im going to drive to Shreevport to see Boog and Elliot. So if anyone wants to convoy with me let me know.

Lets start talking about another drive in Austin.

Say March?

Its funny you mention Shreveport next month. I believe Annie and I were thinking of a little weekend trip out there in Feb.
