cool man, I'm currently inviting other clubs/etc. as well, this is our club's last run of the year so I'm hoping I can get some good turnout going I really enjoyed this route and all the cars the first time, hopefully we can have some fun again

Okay, bumping this thread as it is what started it all last time, I've definitely got our car club on board for this route and the details are below, for those who missed it originally this is another chance to go with a variety of cars and we can geek on Christmas lights as well if all goes to plan:

Our website has a posting at http://texasrxs.org/modules/piCal/in...ate=2007-11-30

Details are as follows:

Meet: 2:00-2:30pm - Leave shortly after 2:30 (I hope) at Carraba's on 183N next to Rudy's, Outback etc.

So we're basically taking the exact same route, except we're leaving from a north location, we'll be going down Jollyville to Great Hills, Great Hills to 360, 360 to Bee Caves (2244), Bee Caves to 290 and then 1826 and then the remaining roads we took last time. I was asked to put this together for my car club to take some of the weight off our Pres. who organizes a CRAPload of drives every year, since I had such a fun time on this route and Gruene was a neat little place (We can take 35 home at night to avoid the deer too) I figured what the heck, let's do it again Hopefully some folks make it out, I know the holidays will have everyone scrambling around that time lol

Pardon my multiple posts, this is my first time putting together a run and I had a stroke of genius (well, I wanted to do something a little different anyway) so instead of going to Gruene, I'm thinking we leave a couple of hours earlier, go to Blanco for lunch, then go check out Fredricksburg (score some dinner perhaps?) and Johnson City for lights on the way home as well. One other option would be Blanco for an early dinner, eat, socialize a little etc. until it gets close to dark then head straight to Johnson city from there since it's only like 10-15 miles or so. The only thing messing me up on this deal is the timing, I'm going to drive the route next weekend (not this one, car's not ready yet from being repaired) and try and get it all sorted out and get an idea of how long it takes, what kind of roads, reason I'm skipping Gruene is to take "Devil's backbone" as well
Suggestions welcomed, even sarcastic ones
