Hate CBP
I see I'm going to hate CBP. I had my car hand washed today and I see more scratches than when the dealer sends it through the machine! OMG. I think I'm about to have a bout of depression. This don't make any sense. This place usually does a good job. Never had a problem with them. Maybe it was the 4000 lbs of salt on the road that embedded itself in the paint which caused scratches when wash. I heard CBP was easy to scratch, but this is ridiculous.

Welcome to the club! Two weekends ago I did 2x thorough washes, clay mitt, 2 step over the entire car, a 3rd step on really bad spots and afterwards put two layers of sealant. This past weekend to get the shine up, I did a very thorough wash and 1 layer of opti seal, car looks great overall, but I see small swirls I didn't have two weeks ago.

I plan to figure it out this summer. Buying a Porter-Cable orbital buffer this year... never used one before. So, I need to buy a raggedy car to test it on first... I heard the Porter-Cable brand (6k rpms) is the best and doesn't damage cars since it maxes at 6k. I know applying pressure is another thing though. I was told I could practice on my hand and if my hand heats up, I'm applying too much pressure... Wish me luck

it's IMPOSSIBLE.
watch a few youtube videos on how to pick a section of the car, run a pass, wipe, then a 2nd pass.
you'll pick it up IN NO TIME AT ALL!
its VERY easy.
I never used one before until i bought mine 2 years ago.
this is my 2nd car that Ive detailed. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the results.

That was my next question. Didn't ask because I was expecting you to respond "You can't rush polishing etc". LOL... good to know. Hopefully under 2 hours.... hopefully... If you have any recommended youtube videos or polish/wax brands, let me know
