In the frontal crash it performed pretty well. Rims are still good and the doors did'nt buckle at all.

Any idea at what speed these tests were performed?

I just looked it up and this test which is the nhtsa does the crash at 35 mph.

ACE body structure...basically a crumple zone within the engine bay to absorb impact within the bay instead of dispersing impact into cabin.

theres a bunch of small brackets/walls that you dont see in previous years. (in the engine bay)

is it me or does the passenger airbag reinflate after the initial inflation?

it's supposed to. It minimizes the effects of a collision by "buffering" the impact. If it didn't, it'd be equivalent to running your 35 MPH face into a 60 MPH airbag + 35 MPH stopping force.

Of course, the physics are much more complex than that.

It looks like the rear passenger is smashing his head against the pillar in the side impact..
