Okay, I'm trying to troubleshoot an electrical problem. The battery light is on, but the battery stays charged just fine. So it's likely a problem in the wiring. Another clue, the current alternator was replaced 2 years ago. 3 of the 4 thin wires in the alternator plug to the ECM show reasonable and low resistance, the white-red one shows infinite resistance. That heads to the ECM, thru a connector called "8P". So to check continuity it sure would be nice to poke at that connector. Unfortunately the shop manual doesn't seem to show its location, peering with a flashlight just shows tape-covered thick cables. Where the heck is the 8P connector? The manual does say it's on the starter harness, but I also can't pinpoint the starter! Dang cables are bundled up so tightly you can't follow the thick ones! Help!
