Suede Seats Care
Hi everyone, the suede seats in the A-Spec ILX 2016 isn't real right? I'm in California where it doesn't rain much, but when it does, I freak out because water and suede are not friends.
Anyone have any issue with water getting on the suede seats? Does the suede harden and the texture changes?
How would I go about protecting the suede.

Go to a car detail supply shop, or find one online like Chemical Guys. If the pros are using it, then generally speaking its better then the stuff at Autozone or whatever. Just look for a decent product, maybe even talk to customer service online. Chemical Guys has legit customer service, they're great. get something that cleans and conditions suede leather. There's other brands that are real good too. It's nothing crazy, just clean the stuff whenever you clean the inside of your car, which is hopefully at least a few times a year.
To keep the outside good for as long as possible, "ideally" once a week wash and wax. To save time between wax jobs, ALWAYS use a car soap/shampoo that has wax already in it. Is it the same as waxing it weekly? NO. But its way better then just soap. Wax when you can.

There is no "suede" in modern cars. The material is called alcantara or a variant thereof.
