Smile Rear Reflector Trim

I noticed the back of the car/rear bumper is kind of bland. The new Accord, Mercedes, etc have a lot more going on down there. I had some chrome trim lying around, so I decided to add some to the reflectors. let me know what you think. The car is dirty - I know - it's that time of the year It's very subtle since the trim is thin, but maybe a thicker piece can be added if i think it looks good enough. the reflectors are certainly large enough that they can afford to be covered up a little more.

the next projects for the back are hybrid spoiler, exhaust (maybe), black trim on bottom, rear tint, and LEDs

I think that accents the hybrid style grills perfectly. I thought about putting a piece across the trunk lid too above the license plate.

I like it.

That was a cool idea, Flyers. I think it's subtle and different.

Yeah, I thought about that too, just like on the TSX. Not sure if it would be too much with the chrome on the spoiler as well (which I plan on adding). Plus it has to fit under the huge Acura emblem. I am considering it though.

The nice thing is u can put it on and rip it off just as easily if it doesnt look right.

also, those strips i added -- I noticed in the sun it adds a nice "sparkle," more than i would have thought

Not a big fan of chrome in general, but I think these add a nice touch.

I Second that ^. Looks good. I'm trying to do a similar thing with my 16 ILX but the reflectors look different than yours so I'm not sure how I would do it.

I did this with my 13 ILX.

Remove the reflector then get whatever thickness chrome strip you like. I went with one maybe twice as thick as OP.

Wow it looks really nice. How did you trim the chrome pieces to follow the reflectors so perfectly?

It is very easy to trim. Just used scissors.
