2013 headlight assembly

2013 headlight assembly

I am replacing my passanger side headlight assembly, ballast and ignitor before i replace them i was thinking of swaping both sides with the newer jewel headlights im not much of a modder and have been having trouble researching if it will fit the car and if convering from hid to led is possible

The swap would need bumper and fenders too.

This is correct. The shape of the 2016-2018 headlights is different. The shape of the 2019 headlights is even more different. Will not be cost effective to replace all those body panels.

but still cheaper than buying a new one!

That is a huge cost and possibly a lot of work. If you want to change the look I would suggest changing to LED bulbs (or different color/kelvin temp HID's). Also you could consider opening up the headlight assembly and removing the unsightly orange reflectors, the look is much more modern looking, cleaner, and the costs is negligible - I did this to my 2013 ILX (Thread: My 2013 Build).

Yes, changing the headlights is LESS of a waste of money than changing the entire car to a 2019 model. But making these type of expensive changes is a money pit.
