But heres the thing, he was using that same engine management with the plenums.

I understand where you're coming from though. But take this into consideration. The TL manifold flows much better then the stock CL-S manifold. It doesnt hold the heat as much as the CL-S manifold does either (and Im not running thermo-gaskets on it).

As I said in my last post, its your money, use it to your discretion. Im happy with my purchase, just as CLS Progression is with his. Make your decision and go with it. Im not making any money from it.

E30 and I posted this to help out those who want to do it. That was our goal. I think we succeeded at that. Now do what you want with it.

This thread is a DIY. It was created at the request of numerous people to consolidate the information and make it easy to find.

I posted the post numbers that the information was in and was called a dick so I made this thread. Now I am being called a liar after being asked to provide PROOF (which I don't have to show) that the mod is viable.

I post the data I have and am called out.

CLS P assuming your sig accurately shows your mods you have less mods than I do.

This mod relies on excellent airflow, this motor loves airflow, the P2R CAI is better than the injen, I have a bored TB & no VSA TB I have no coolant going through my TB, the cat causes back pressure, I have a low restriction cat, the exhaust causes back pressure I have 2.5" aluminum pipes running to Magnaflow mufflers.

Our cars unless you have hidden mods are hardly equal. I am sorry you are so insecure maybe it is a Canadian thing.

As civic said the thread is a DIY we supplied the DIY make up your mind do what you want.

/thread.

this thread is all over the map.

What I wanted to point out about P2R plenums VS TL manifold is THE QUESTION OF....

Which makes more power without a tune???

Whichever makes more with out a TUNE is the victor in my mind cause like rajca mentioned, it's 1000$ to tune and MOST people aren't gonna be tuning their whips.

i understand that this mod makes power, how much is the questions. no average person is gonna spend $1000+ on a stand alone and another $300-$500 for a tune. yes, thats the way to go, but 90%of the ppl on here just want to bolt on a performance mod and see that it actually can add power with out spending $1000+.

I have noting but OEM management and I have more power. I do not know exactly how much but I know it is significant.

Rajca, you did the IM spacer, did a good job on the DIY how would you like it if people were hounding you for results, demanding you prove it was real, said you were wrong when you said there was more power?

I went out of my way to avoid doing just that, I said I am sure you have more power, that Sean told me not to bother with the spacer for my car. Would it annoy you if I had said it like CLSP is saying this mod does not produce?

There is no need for 1000 in management, I am sure I could get more power if I went that route but have no plan to do that.

i promised some numbers with my other engine. i did not throw any number out their bc of a problem like this. i just simply said what my car does now that it didnt do before.

i plan to do a before dyno and then after dyno while i put on my mods.

CL-S Prog. stop calling e30 out, the guy thinks its a crime to ask for proof and he says he isnt trying to impress but flaunts a 4.7 0-60 like its a common occurrence. it doesnt matter though because we're to insignificant in his world to justify him showing us anything so just stop.

NO ONE is saying that. we're questioning the 4.7 0-60.

I was speaking to the person calling me a liar that was "smoking something"

I was tired of the continuous calls for numbers so gave what I had.

I said from the beginning I had no intention of doing a dyno.

I gave what I said I would give, gave it for free and all I have gotten is S*it.

I hope everyone that has been a douche does a mod, takes the risks shares the data and gets the sh*t I have gotten.

Why can't a mod close the thread, hell delete the damn thing for all I care. I will not be sharing any future work I do, that is for sure.

Thank you Phee for taking this thread for what it is worth.

For those that can't read:
MY MOTOR HAS COMPRESSION ISSUES!!!

If I could go back in time, I would have done this on a better motor. But I didnt. So there's the result everyone was asking for.

I felt the power difference immediately. Look at the dyno graph. Even with my compression issues it still made more power, and more TORQUE over the entire RPM band. Im not running any engine management. I have basic bolt ons. I have oil consumption issues as well. I feel as if it was money well spent. The car is noticeably faster at all RPMs.

Im rebuilding the motor in a few weeks, and I may (may, not will, may) toss the old manifold on and re-dyno just to see what I get. Ill keep you guys posted if I do that.

Regarding Dynolicious on the iPhone - There is tons of room for error with it, but it has been proven to be accurate when setup correctly (vehicle weight and whatnot). I have a similar app on my G1 that I have yet to test. Id like to give it a try once it stops raining here.

thanks for being the 1st to try this guys... I really appreciate it. Trying to get back on topic here...

did anyone who did this mod consider the 2008-2009 accord v6 manifold off the 6 speed? It looks similar to the 09 TL intake...Does anyone know if this one will work too?

It should work. I dont know the exact differences, but the part numbers are different. Usually even if the part is used between the two brands it still retains the same part number.

look at it from the other side. lets say i came into this thread saying "i installed this manifold and i ran a 13 flat in the quarter mile!" (which is what a 4.7 0-60 should be around)

of course someone is going to say "Prove it."
I got nipples greg ... can you milk me ... 13.30 @ 106 60' at 1.9 .... similar car ...
